Lovely hidden gem

I’ve been coming to area a few times now and am glad I’ve found this property. It is a great property, feels private enough while being walking distance to the village. The photos don’t do it justice. Lots of areas to sit and enough of everything that you will need.

The garden and the pool are definitely the highlights of this accommodation. The setting is very peaceful, surrounded by fields and greenery, which made our stay very relaxing. That being said, the accommodation itself could benefit from significant improvements in terms of cleanliness. The place felt as though it had not been used in quite some time, with a strong musty smell upon arrival. The sofas and armchairs in the living room were worn out and had an unpleasant odor. The dishes and kitchen utensils were not properly cleaned, and we also noticed many dead flies around the house. In one of the bedrooms, the bed sheets were stained. Fortunately, the weather was beautiful during our stay, so we mostly enjoyed the outdoors and only came inside to sleep. However, a much greater effort is needed regarding housekeeping.

A stay in Charente Maritime

The property had many attributes. The property is situated close by vineyards and farmland. It had a lovely orchard where the children could play freely, pick plums and apples which were later turned into cakes and crumbles as well as having a really lovely swimming pool. As the weather was hot the children and adults used the pool daily and had a great deal of fun. It was an easy walk along a path beside fields of sunflowers and corn to reach the village Boulangerie each morning when it was open to buy croissants and other goodies for breakfast. During the second week of our stay the mosquitoes made their presence felt. This had been mentioned in a previous review of the property so we were armed with suitable repellants. There were nice places to visit - eg Pons and Jonzac as well as exploring along the Gironde and up to more coastal areas. Particularly nice was Port des Clonges which had a wonderful nature reserve with knowledgable staff at the information centre as well as a terrific park suitable for children ages 3 upwards as well as a very nice Tapas Restaurant.

Holiday bliss

We all had a wonderful time in this beautiful traditional Charentes villa, the photos do not do justice. The pool was great, the garden is massive. Recommend. Take insect repellent.

Séjour excellent à renouveler

La propriété a beaucoup de charme, joli jardin fleuri, grande piscine et grand espace extérieur idéal pour les enfants. La maison est spacieuse, agréable , confortable et a accueilli sans problème les trois générations de notre famille .Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. ( fournir peut être une cocotte minute pour faciliter la cuisine)

Très bon séjour

Nous avons adoré la maison, très jolie, fonctionnelle et bien équipée, avec des petites attentions à l’arrivée et un très grand jardin (qu’on ne voit pas en photo mais qui est un vrai plus).
