An Airigh, overlooking Loch Fyne - sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms
Situated in the quiet Loch side village of Newton, this brand-new contemporary and beautifully decorated cottage has 2 double bedrooms sleeping up to 4 people. It is 4 miles from Strachur, home of the famous Creggans Inn, the area boasts many award-winning restaurants including the famous Inver Restaurant which is only a few miles from the cottage and is a fantastic base for many daytrips and excursions.
The house has been built to very high eco standards – well insulated, aluminium double-glazed windows, underfloor heating throughout powered by an air source heat pump and with a heat exchange system in every room makes the house extremely comfortable in winter and summer. At the front of the house is an excellent covered porch perfect for storing wood, hanging wet coats and boots and for sitting out to look at the great views. From the porch, guests are welcomed by a bright and airy entrance hall with plenty of room for coats and boots, that simply hints at the beautifully presented, charming accommodation that is to come.
The open plan living area flows through from a very well-equipped kitchen with dining table to a snug sitting room with comfy sofas and a wood burning stove. Both parts of this wonderful room have been set up to allow the views to be admired during meals or when relaxing with their large picture windows which flood the spacious room with light and open out onto the garden, effectively ‘bringing the outdoors in’ – from the kitchen, the windows slide open to allow access to the garden.
It is all very well equipped with a Smart TV which includes FreeSat, Wifi, books, maps and games so plenty to entertain guests when settled in front of the woodburner – logs are provided as standard. In the elegant master double bedroom there is a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room. There is one other attractive double bedroom with a superking bed which converts to twin beds that has use of a family bathroom. High quality mattresses, sheep’s wool duvets, crisp cotton sheets, woollen throws and plenty of soft cushions add to the luxury and comfort of both beds.
Parking is right by the front door and it is a 30 second walk to the beach and jetty in the Newton village. The garden, mostly laid to lawn, wraps around the house and is bordered by the beck which flows into the loch.
There are lots of great walks and things to do in the local area, it is 25 minutes from Inverary, 1.5 hours from Oban and Glasgow and a short drive to many places of interest. The cottage has wonderful sea views to the hills and mountains beyond.

Beautiful location.
Beautiful location for visiting surrounding areas. Cosy and warm. Comfortable bed and bedding.
There is a small well stocked shop nearby and a good local pub within a 10 minute drive.
We had an issue regarding a ferry to Islay and Amanda was very empathetic and helpful in assisting us. It was much appreciated.

A nice comfortable accommodation
A very warm cosy cottage with a nice sun set view over Loch Fyne, it is very well equipped and Amanda from Holiday Cottages West Coast has been extremely helpful and friendly. The only comment I would make is that the bedrooms are a bit confined, but overall we enjoyed the stay there and we find the accommodation very comfortable.

Peace and tranquility
This was our second visit to An Airigh this year and it was just as relaxing and comfortable as the first. If you have a very stressful life, this is the place to rest and recuperate. We didn’t watch tv or any news all week, went off grid almost for total relaxation. (I didn’t even feel tempted to watch strictly!)
Lunch at the oystercatcher was lovely and food at Inver is sublime. Fantastic dog walks, lovely friendly local people and of course the view from this fabulous cottage is captivating.
Can’t wait to book another stay for next year.

A wonderful stay on Loch Fyne
We were looking for a complete getaway and we got away! The house was as nice as it appeared and the location was ideal - not too remote but very peaceful yet near enough to shops for groceries etc. The house had everything we needed plus little extras like biscuits and a little decanter of whisky to make it a very special stay. Very comfortable beds and good showers. Magnifying make-up mirrors and lots of hooks - perfect! It was dog friendly - but to be picky a safe, enclosed garden would have been good. Loch Fyne is a well kept secret and the sun shone for us!

Cosy cottage
We had a wonderful, relaxing holiday in this cottage. It was warm, cosy and in a beautiful, quiet location. A well equipped cottage, it was lovely even on rainy days just to sit in front of the log burner, read a book and look out over the Loch.

Romantic break
We were absolutely delighted with this beautiful cottage which was exactly as shown in the photos. The woodburner was lovely and we had everything we needed to cook great meals. We loved the location too as we were close to a few places we could go for a drink and plenty of places nearby to visit.

Summer holiday
We spent a week at An Airigh - husband, 11yo and dog.
The house is super comfortable and the interiors are beautifully curated.
Amanda, the ‘host’ on the ground was great and gave us some cracking recommendations.
We highly recommend Inver, which is on a B road nearby; and the Oystercatcher a bit further on.
The nearest shop is 3.5 miles, so make sure to stock up!
Newton is lovely and peaceful and the house is the icing on the cake.
Lovely property in a beautiful location, great for a getaway from town living. Amanda was a great host, really helpful, great communication. Will definitely book again 😊

Beautiful, comfortable house
This is a lovely house in a stunning setting. Amanda, was so helpful to deal with and responded so quickly to all my queries. This is a great part of Scotland, having that wonderful combination of accessibility, but also feeling of remoteness.
