Located on the northeast coast of Florida, just 1/2 hour north of historic St. Augustine and 1/2 hour south of Amelia Island, Atlantic Beach is a slow-paced beachside town.

Take day-trips to Mayport, one of the oldest fishing villages in the nation. Mayport is home to a large commercial shrimp boat fleet. The Mayport Ferry transports cars across the St. Johns River to and from Mayport and Fort George Island. The ferry is a popular way to reach Amelia Island.
THE BUCCANEER TRAIL: Beginning on Hwy. A1A on Amelia Island, the 52-mile scenic route is one of the most beautiful drives in Florida. The Trail takes you past beautiful beaches, including Little Talbot Island State Park, and over several inlets and rivers that flow into the Atlantic Ocean. If you enjoy fishing, be sure to take along your tackle and pole. From Amelia Island to the Trails end in St. Augustine, historical sites such as Kingsley Plantation and the Castillo de San Marcos are just a turn away.
KINGSLEY PLANTATION- Florida's oldest-standing plantation where, during the early 1800s, Zephaniah Kingsley's slaves produced sugarcane and Sea Island cotton. Kingsley conducted many agricultural experiments, and did much to further the cultivation of citrus fruits in Florida. A true non-conformist and classical scholar, Kingsley was married to Anna Madgigine Jai, a black woman who reportedly presided over the Fort George Island household. The original house and ruins of the slave quarters still stands.
ST. AUGUSTINE: The Buccaneer Trail ends in St. Augustine, where 300-year-old stone forts and opulent turn-of-the-century hotels provide visitors with plenty to explore even before they reach the beach. But just across the historic Bridge of Lions from St. Augustine lie the beaches of Anastasia Island, where sabal palms and sea oats grow wild on 15-foot-high dunes.
On the way to the surf, take a slight sidestep to the distinctive candy-striped St. Augustine Lighthouse and Museum. Purported to be the site of Florida's first lighthouse, the view from the top is worth the climb.
In PONTE VEDRA BEACH, active vacationers can enjoy world-famous fairways and championship tennis courts. Daniel Brassil purchased this condo in 1981
My Family has owned this condo since 1981 .My Mom and Dad bought this condo at an Auction that was held on the property.
Having lived in several areas of Florida, we found Atlantic Beach to be "just what the Doctor ordered". You can escape from it all when you need - or dive in and enjoy the shops, restaurants and entertainment of a bigger city. Either way, you will always feel comfortable and right at "home".
We had a wonderful time! Condo was ready on time, clean with everything available for the beach! Chairs, towels... Definitely look forward to our next vacation!
We totally enjoyed our stay! The condo complex is located right in the heart of a lush tropical residential area. It is an older complex, but the condo was very clean and comfortable. Loved having the outdoor patio space for sitting and storing our bikes. Our situation was unique in that we are from the area and had a few visitors including our two sons who drove separately. Two parking spaces/passes are provided which was a bit difficult as we had three cars. Because it was not the middle of summer, the adjacent parking lot that would normally be patrolled for non permitted cars was nearly empty, so we didn't have a problem having an extra car.
We loooove this area! The condo is just a few minutes bike ride/walk from the Atlantic Beach town center. There are many restaurants to choose from with some really great shopping, live music, outdoor spaces, etc. The beaches are residential, clean and wide. We will definitely visit again!
Atlantic Beach is the perfect location for day-trips: Just a 2 minute walk brings you to a Community Theatre with year-round productions; also a public tennis court and park with swings are nearby. The downtown area of this quaint city provides a safe haven and is less than a 10 minute walk from Seaplace. It contains cobblestone streets and hosts a treasure-trove of small shops and attractions. Also some of the finest seafood restaurants in Northeast Florida are close by. Visit Mayport, one of the oldest fishing villages in the nation and take a ferry, a popular way to reach Amelia Island following the Buccaneer Trail. Or discover historic St. Augustine, 1/2 hr. to the south. Other Day-Trips: Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens; Jacksonville Zoo; Day Cruise aboard a 250-ft. cruise ship for casino gambling and dancing; Greyhound racing; and seeing the St. Johns River aboard a paddle boat for sightseeing and lunch. These attractions provide an enjoyable recess from the surf and sand.
