Quaint Retreat

This was a nice, extremely clean one bedroom suite with a comfortable bed and peaceful view of the woods. It was quiet and had great amenities. Perfect for a couple on a weekend getaway. We would stay again!

Overall stay was great but..

So the resort itself was really nice with the extra amenities it provided however I was very displeased with the front desk person (I will spare her by not listing her name). She was nice but she lied to me about receiving a free gift. DO NOT AGREE TO THE FREE GIFT UNLESS YOURE INTERESTED IN BUYING A TIME SHARE. She did not mention about sitting through 90 min to a presentation. I asked her how do I get the gift and she blatantly said to my face, “you go to the office to pick it up. Simple as that.” Wrong. You have to sit through a presentation with people trying to sell you a timeshare. I didn’t sit through the whole thing but for the only WHOLE DAY we got to spend there they wasted an hour of our morning. Which was annoying because i would have spent that hour doing something else. The man was really pushy on selling and couldn’t get the hint that we did not want whatever he was selling. He was not very convincing just annoying. I was able to get my $80 back for “reserving” the time to pick up the “free” gifts. Don’t give your number or email they spam text you like crazy. Super annoying. Other than that the place was super clean which I appreciated and they provided a lot. Would I come back? Maybe.. as a last resort. But that overall experience with reg time share and spam text killed it for me.

Stolen property and broken windows

I think the resort overall is probably a great family venue with many amenities that we enjoyed (pool, golf, etc). However, I was inconvenienced with a broken toilet upon arrival, very loud neighbors who partied into the night, and an entire window pain that was missing and made the master bedroom hot at night. The management was responsive to my request for solutions but I didn’t want to spend my weekend calling management. Also, my car license plates were stolen off of my vehicle in the parking lot in broad daylight. This did not give me an impression of a secure and safe location to bring my family. We can’t stay here again.

Summer 2021

This property was excellent for our trip! Plenty of room for all the kids with the added convenience of the kitchen as well. The property amenities were awesome for the kids, including younger and teens. The arcade was a big hit with the kids and I especially liked the fire pit! The location was convenient accessible to everywhere we planned to visit. Highly recommend!

Good Location for Visiting Colonial Williamsburg

Easy Check-in to a gated community, just minutes from the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center. Clean facility with nice kitchen and king-sized bed. Adjoining units could be heard through rather thin walls, but most were quiet by 11:00.

We would stay again

Loved the location and the fact it’s a gated community. All of the staff we interacted with were professional and nice. The Wi-Fi was an issue, Extremely slow at most times; we ended up just using our data. The room was clean and as pictured. The walls between the units are thin, but luckily our neighbors only got “rowdy” for about half an hour one night. Not sure how noisy it would be if anyone were to have been staying in the unit upstairs. Would love to visit again when all amenities are back up and running on a “normal” schedule, we stayed during COVID-19 season. Overall, we would stay again, as none of these were major issues for us.

Great getaway

Beautiful, comfortable, quiet place. Very close to all of the history. Close to everything in Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown.

Kingsgate Vacation

Very pleased with the entire experience. Property owners Christelle and Hamilton great to deal with!!! We found them easy to communicate with, they were fast and detailed in their responses. I would highly recommend booking with them for a wonderful experience!!! They followed up with us during and after our stay to ensure we had no issues and enjoyed our stay.

Everything great except the sales program we were asked to attend was entirely misrepresented as “no pressure”. That was completely misleading in fact the sales rep started out friendly and became visibly annoyed when we refused to make a decision to purchase immediately

Desired property was not available at the time of booking, but owner was able to find a studio apartment which was adequate for my family needs. Then two days later, Hamilton, the owner contacted me to let me know the original condo was available, what a pleasant and unexpected surprise.

What a Great Experience!

What a wonderful first experience we had with VRBO, but even better was working with Christelle & Hamilton! We would definitely book another place with them. Prior to booking, we had a quick question and Hamilton responded immediately and was kind enough to hold the room while my husband quickly filled out the information to reserve it. It was a last minute trip and places were going quickly. When we arrived, the property was clean, well-maintained and there were a ton of things for a family of 4 to enjoy. Our girls swam in both pools, played briefly in the game rooms, and we all enjoyed a round of miniature golf one morning. We ended our evening one day with smores by the fire pit. Of course we took advantage of all that Williamsburg had to offer - we stepped back in time and visited Colonial Williamsburg, as well enjoyed a day at Busch Gardens. Would highly recommend this property to others!
