Beautiful flat in a stunning location

Lovely flat: spacious and airy with a brilliant balcony. Panoramic views over the countryside and Rosignano to the coast and to the islands beyond. We were treated to views of Corsica most days and had beautiful sunsets every evening. The pool was great - the kid's really loved it. We - the parents - also really liked the village of Castellina. It had nice shops, bars and a good restaurant. Friendly people too. We didn't think the flat was particularly well equipped (thus a 4 not a five); but the owner was very friendly and helpful. Obviously Pisa, Florence, Volterra and Siena can be visited pretty easilt if you have a car - though we took the train to Florence from Pisa which worked well. A deposit is required on arrival and we got this paid back into our bank a day or two after we departed. All in all Piano primo provided an excellent location for a very enjoyable family holiday.

Schöne und gepflegte Wohnung

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Die Einrichtung ist komplett und zweckmässig. Da die Distanz zum Meer recht gross ist und auch die Lage etwas höher, weht oft ein kühler Wind. Freundliche Grüsse René Regli

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit tollem Balkon

Die Ferienwohnung liegt wunderbar am Hang am Ortseingang von Castellina Marittima. Die sehr große Wohnung bietet alles, was man braucht, WIFI inklusive. Ans Meer in 20 Minuten oder einen “dolce fare niente” Tag am Pool und auf dem Balkon , beides attraktiv. Sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Vermieter. Das war bestimmt nicht der letzte Aufenthalt.

Urlaub genossen

Das Appartement im OG ist funktional und gut eingerichtet. Sensationell ist der Blick von der großen Terasse bzw. dem Balkon. Wunderschönes Panorama mit Hügel und Mittelmeer und farbenprächtigen Sonnenuntergängen. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns 3 Wochen lang sehr gut erholt und wohlgefühlt. Kläffende Hunde, falsches WLAN und der "goldene Schirm"

Das Haus liegt an einem Hang in fussläufiger Nähe zum Ort Marittima Castellina. Wir hatten die untere Wohnung "Piano Terra" gebucht. Die Wohnung ist recht groß und im Sommer trotz fehlender Klimaanlage nicht zu heiß. Es gibt zwei Terassen, wobei der ausgeschiebene Meerblick aufgrund der üppigen Vegetation auf dem Nachbargrundstück nur zu erahnen ist. In der Hauptferienzeit sollte man davon ausgehen, dass die obere Wohnung ebenfalls vermietet ist. In unserem Fall war dies kein Problem, da wir sehr rücksichtsvolle und nette Nachbarn hatten. Der Pool wird von beiden Parteien gemeinsam genutzt und war in einem ordentlichen Zustand. Das Objekt im Ganzen ist sicherlich schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Man muss bei diesem Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis bei einer Wohnung in Meernähe (ca. 14 km Entfernung) jedoch auch Abstriche machen können. Wirklich gestört haben uns vor allem die dauernd kläffenden Hunde der Nachbargrundstücke. Wer über eine empfindliche Nachtruhe verfügt, der sollte besser ein anderes Objekt mieten. Das ausgeschriebene WLAN ist zwar vorhanden - jedoch haben wir kurz vor unserer Anreise von der Vermieterin erfahren, dass hier nur ein geringes Guthaben freigeschaltet wurde, welches für Kurznachrichten und E-Mails ausreicht. Wer mit pubertierenden Kindern anreist, der muss dann ggf. mit langen Gesichtern rechnen. Das Mobiliar auf der Terrasse ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Diesem Umstand ist unsere Kaution zum Opfer gefallen. Der Sonnenschirm, der bei unserer Anreise vom Vermieter vom Pool auf unsere Terrasse verlegt wurde, ließ sich genau einmal öffnen und danach nie wieder. Das haben wir der Vermieterin auch promt gemeldet. Ausser einigen Vorwürfen bezüglich einer angebliche unsachgemäßen Nutzung ist die zugesagte Reparatur während unseres 14-tägigen Aufenthalts ausgeblieben. Bei einem der Plastikstühlen auf der Terasse ist beim einfachen darauf Sitzen (ich wiege 81 kg bei einer Größe von 1,92m) die Sitzfläche ( Plastik) gebrochen. Auch dies wurde umgehend gemeldet. Das einzige wobei unsere Vermieterin sehr zügig vorgegangen ist, war der Einzug unserer Kaution. Die war schon weg bevor wir wieder über den Brenner waren. Die Anschreiben an die Vermieterin sind alle ins Leere gelaufen. Auch die Beschwerde bei HomeAway ist folgenlos geblieben. Insgesamt würden wir dieses Objekt nicht noch einmal mieten.

relaxing time in Tuscany

the accommodation corresponds to the description. alessia also welcomed us late - thank you the house always offers a shady spot, the landscape and sea views, the pool and the quiet environment contributed to our recovery. the barking dogs are housed about 100m down the hill in a kennel. we were there with three school children, the wireless internet available unfortunately not enough for our needs. Groceries of the daily requirement are obtained after a short walk in the small place. this was a bit too quiet for our taste. In any case, you can visit interesting cities on day trips. Alessia was very easy to reach and gave us valuable tips, for example a visit to Florence. many thanks

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung

Wir haben bereits den 2. Urlaub in der Wohnung im 1. Stock verbracht und wieder alles sauber, ordentlich und funktionsfähig vorgefunden, genauso wie in der Beschreibung angegeben. Gute Ausgangslage für Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren und herrlicher Blick auf die Küste, bei klarem Wetter sind einige Inseln zu sehen.

Perfektes Urlaubsdomizil

Wir (Paar Mitte 20 mit Kind + 2 Freunde) fanden die Ferienwohnung wie beschrieben vor. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man zum Leben benötigt, dazu ein schöner Pool und eine geniale Aussicht auf das Mittelmeer sowie einige Inseln und abends genießt man den Sonnenuntergang. Wer auf direkten Strandzugang (ca. 20 Autominuten) verzichten kann, dafür aber ganz entspannt die Ruhe genießen möchte ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Mehr Schein als Sein

Insgesamt vermittelt das Angebot einen besseren Eindruck als vor Ort vorhanden. Es ist zwar alles da, wie angepriesen, aber teilweise auch in die Jahre gekommen und damit sanierungsbedürftig. Wir hatten die obere Wohnung, mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf das Meer, allerdings darf man sich an solchen Dingen, wie der Chemiefabrik in Vada mitten im Panorama nicht stören. Bei den Urlaubern unter uns tropfte wohl zeitweise das Wasser im Bad von der Decke. Zum nächsten Strand ca. 25 Minuten Fahrtzeit, allerdings ist der dann nahe der o.a. Fabrik. Richtig schöne Strände ca. 40 bis 60 Minuten entfernt. Leider trafen wir auch die Wohnung selbst relativ unordentlich geputzt vor, total verschmierte Terrassentüren, etc. Aber auch das kann einen stören, muss es aber nicht. Wir haben eben erstmal durchgeputzt.

Ruhiges Ferienhaus im Grünen

Wir haben im Mai einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Wohnung im 1. Stock verbracht (Familie mit 2 Jungs 12 und 9 J.). Das Haus liegt am Ortsrand von Castellina Marittima, die kleinen Geschäfte sind schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Gute Restaurants sind auch vorhanden. Zum Meer sind es theoretisch nur 15 km, jedoch fuhren wir zu den schöneren Sandstränden bei San Vicenzo, was ca. 35 km einfach bedeutete. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist zweckmäßig, ein Mix aus Design- und Antiquitäten-Möbeln. Platz für 4 Personen ist ausreichend vorhanden.

Wunderschöne Ferienwohnung auf dem Dorf

Eine geräumige und liebevoll eingerichtete Ferienwohnung in angenehm ruhiger Lage. Obwohl es keine Klimaanlage gibt, war es sogar im August nie zu heiß. Die große West-Terrasse bietet einen herrlichen Blick auf den Pool und über die weite Landschaft aufs Meer. Die gut sortierten kleinen Geschäfte, die Restaurants und die Bar des Dorfes kann man leicht zu Fuß erreichen und sie sind zu empfehlen. Mehrere Strände kann man in 20 - 30 Minuten Autofahrt erreichen, ebenso bieten sich einige interessante Städte für einen Tagesausflug an.

Schönes Haus - Stilvoll eingerichtete Wohnung - Tolle Lage - Idealer Ausgangspunkt!!

Wir (Familie mit drei Kindern) haben eine Woche (KW 32) in der Wohnung Piano Terra verbracht und diese vollkommen genossen. Insbesondere die Kinder haben den Pool geliebt aber auch den Erwachsenen hat er bei dem heißen Wetter stets eine willkommene Abkühlung beschert. In der Wohnung und im Haus haben wir alles so vorgefunden, wie es in der Beschreibung stand. Zur Wohnung gehörten zwei Außenbereiche / Terrassen auf verschiedenen Seiten des Hauses, so dass man bei dem heißem Wetter stest ein schattiges Plätzchen finden konnte. Das Haus liegt in herrlicher Landschaft knapp unterhalb des kleinen Dorfes Castellina Maritima. Abgesehen von einigen häufig auch nachts bellenden Vierbeinern in der Nachbarschaft war es sehr ruhig. Dank der erhöhten Lage des Dorfes am Berg / auf dem Berg weht hier meist ein leichtes oder auch mal stärkeres Lüftchen, so dass die Hitze des Tages auch aus diesem Grund hier gut erträglich ist. Da wir die vorangegangene Woche bereits auf einem Segelboot verbracht haben und daher bereits ausreichend oft am und im Meer waren, haben wir die Wohnung vor allem als Ausgangspunkt für Besuche der einschlägigen Ziele in der Toskana genutzt. Die nächste Autobahnauffahrt ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt!! Danke auch an Alessia und Tito, die bei Fragen vor und während unseres Aufenthaltes immer ansprechbar waren.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances à Castellina Marittima. Nous avons été bien accueillis par les propriétaires. L' appartement était confortable et fonctionnel. Le cadre était agréable. Petit village typique de Toscane avec fêtes le week-end, trois épiceries, deux cafés, une boulangerie, un restaurant. Depuis la maison, il est possible d'avoir un séjour balnéaire mais aussi de pouvoir visiter les merveilles de Toscane (Florence, Sienne, Pise, San Gimignano, Volterra, etc...) Nous pourrions y revenir avec plaisir.

Entspanntes Sein in der Toscana !

Die Fotos und die Beschreibung entsprechen dem, was man tatsächlich vorfindet. Die Vermieter sind nicht vor Ort, aber immer gut erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Eine sehr stilvoll eingerichtete, großzügige Wohnung mit der nötigen Grundausstattung. Die Lage ist fantastisch - sehr ruhig und für Wanderer und Rennradfahrer bestens geeignet. Die historischen Städtchen sind als Tagesausflug gut zu erreichen. Castellina Marittima bietet neben kleinen Bars zwei gute Restaurants und kleine Läden für den täglichen Bedarf. Der schöne Strand ist mit dem Auto in 25 Minuten erreichbar, der Pool am Haus ermöglicht eine kleine Erfrischung. Entspannte Ferien, für die die keine Animation brauchen, garantiert!

zum vierten Mal in Folge

wir hatten nach etwas Vergleichbaren gesucht - Blick auf's Meer, Spülmaschine, große, großzügige Räume, Pool, kurze Wege für die Kleinigkeiten des Alltags (Einkaufen, Bank,...), keine Ferienanlage, angemessener Preis - aber nichts gefunden. Es ist einfach schön in der Wohnung und wir haben es wieder sehr, sehr genossen. Diesmal haben wir einen Tagesausflug nach Elba unternommen. Das ist gut an einem Tag zu schaffen. Alessia und Tito, die Vermieter sind immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit, wenn man etwas benötigt. Alessia! scusa che io non parlo italiano ;-) ciao! Thomas

Familienurlaub auch für 2 Familien

Eine sehr schöne und großzügige Wohnung mit schönen Möbeln in verschiedenen Stilrichtungen. Riesiger Balkon mit tollem Meerblick! Für Kinder jeden Alters zu empfehlen. Pool gepfegt mit allem was man braucht. Nur 5 Min. ins kleine Dorf zum Bäcker oder Tante-Emma-Laden. Die Eigentümer sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren mit einer befreundeten Familie in beiden Wohnungen und waren sehr zufrieden!! Immer gerne wieder , Physiotherpista!!

Very nice flat in a pretty location

The flat meets the description in detail and exceeded our expectations. The quiet location, the seaview, the nice furniture and the particular size of the flat have to be mentioned. To wake up, open the window and to enjoy the seaview in about 10 km was absolutely great for us. The way to the beaches in the environment is between 15 and 30 minutes (by car), but for this effort we had a excellent variety of beautiful and sometimes very silent places. We mate trips to Volterra, Sienna, Florenz und Livorno. The landlords were very helpful and reacted directly when we had a little Problem Thanks a lot for the nice holidays!

We had the good fortune to find this accomodation. The location, quality of the home and kindness of the owners far exceded our expectations. House was very clean and well equiped also kitchen. All very close to our favourite city Castellina Marrittima. My highest complement is to say I cannot wait to return

We stayed in the upstairs apartment, and would definitely recommend it to others. Both bedrooms were very spacious and the balcony was much bigger that it looks on the pictures, with space for a table and chairs, two sun loungers and barbecue. The master bedroom has french doors, which you could leave open at night so it didn't get too hot. The views from the balcony stretched right outo to sea, and there are lovely views of the the sunset. The pool was the perfect size for playing games of volley ball - a good size for a holiday pool. The house is within 1/4 mile of the village of Castellina Maritimma (an easy walk for people of average mobility, but it is up a steep hill), which has a good, cheap pizzeria, as well as a handful of restaurants, a baker, a few small food shops and a bakers. There's also a post office (it doesn't have a sign but is next to the baker) and a couple of banks. It's withing easy driving distance of a a range of beaches, and makes a good base for visits to Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Siena etc, although you would need a car. The owner asked for a 150 Euro deposit, with was given back without him checking the apartment. We had a lovely 2 weeks here, and I would definitely recommend this as a base for people looking for a holiday in a location within walking distance of a few restaurants, and easy driving distance of nice beaches and historical cities.

Review of First Floor Apartment (Piano Primo)

We had a very enjoyable fortnight's stay in the top floor of this lovely villa in Castellina Marittima. The apartment was clean, well maintained, and nicely furnished. The facilities were as described in the listing on HomeAway's website. The rooms were more spacious than we had expected, with a big balcony and views over the hills and sea (even Corsica on a clear day). The property is a 5 minute walk (uphill) to the centre of the village, which has all the amenities we needed - several restaurants, bars/cafes, grocers shops, 2 banks/cash machines, and a post office. It is a 20 minute drive to good beaches at Vada, Mazzanta and Cecina, but we thought it nice at day's end to be able to leave those resorts and return to the hills where it was quieter and (slightly) cooler. There is an excellent beach at Golfo di Baratti, an hour's drive to the south, which we thought was worth the journey. The pool is great and much appreciated at the end of a hot day's sightseeing ! Pisa, Lucca and Volterra are all about an hour's drive away, Florence about 1.5 hours, but we thought Siena a bit too far (twice the distance to Volterra). We were charged 70 euros for cleaning, and were asked for a 150 euro damage deposit which was returned promptly at the end of our stay. Some basic items - sheets, towels, toilet roll, washing up liquid, tea towel and bin bags - were not provided but otherwise we had no complaints and thought the cost of the rental represented excellent value for money. Tolle Unterkunft!

Alle Angaben des Online-Inserates sind zutreffend. Unterkunft sehr schön und sauber, sehr stilvolle Einrichtung und gepflegter Garten. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt (Spülmaschine, Toaster, Kühl-, Gefrierkombintion, Gasherd, Waschmaschine im Haus). Toller Pool am Haus, der mit Kindern perfekt zu nutzen ist (Zugang mit Zaun und Verriegelung, keine Gefahr für Kinder!). Die Terrasse und der Garten bieten immer die Möglichkeit für einen Sonnen- bzw. Schattenplatz. Eine Waschmaschine ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Der Ort ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Frisches Obst und Gemüse und auch alle notwenigen Lebensmittel für den täglichen Bedarf sind in kleinen Läden zu erwerben. Vermieter sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Strand (mit dem Auto in ca. 20 Min. zu erreichen) ist sauber und sehr schön. Castellina Marittima ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge wie z.B. nach Livorno, div. kleinere Orte an der Küste (z.B. Castiglioncello) oder für eine Fahrt auf der Weinstraße.

Familienurlaub mit kleinen Kindern

Sehr schön eingerichtete, gepflegte und großzügige Wohnung. Beschreibung und Fotos im Portal sind korrekt. Pool direkt am Haus und nicht so tief, so dass die Kinder stehen konnten. Schöner Blick vom Haus über das Tal bis zum Meer. Der Ort hat kleine Lebensmittelläden (zu Fuß zu erreichen) in denen man alles Notwendige bekommt. Größere Läden in Cecina. Zum Strand (Vada) sind es ca. 25 min mit dem Auto.
