Lovely views, lovely building
Quirky but lovely converted barn with gorgeous views from huge windows in living room. Comfortable bed and well-equipped. kitchen. Our only criticism was that the property had clearly been empty for some time and it took about 36 hours for the underfloor heating to get the air temperature up to an acceptable level. Despite emailing the cottage company for assistance (it was freezing outside) we heard nothing!

Beautiful place and location - Loved it!!
We travel often on short breaks when we are back in the UK and 'Penrhiw Fach' is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in - such attention to detail, from the unique decor to natural bathroom products...just gorgeous. It was so peaceful and cozy, great views, and had everything we needed - we love to cook and the house had the-best equipped kitchen! Rural, yet still only 6 minute drive to Newport (and not far to drive to other towns and beaches), lovely places to eat and drink, and the beach nearby, so our dog loved it too! Great walks/hikes, within range of the property. And, the light pollution is minimum, seeing such star-filled nights was truly magical. We'd love to enjoy the place in the summer months, too, so we will definitely be back. Thank you hosts, Will and Lou - you have made a really beautiful place 🙏 Helen, Jason and Dexter Dog

Fantastic location
A lovely few days away in a great location. Town of Newport just a few mins drive away and the nearby beach provided a great walk for all of use, including our dog. Our rating is based on the following points which are important to note when booking. The garden is not secure as described. This meant we were unable to let our dog into the garden without a lead. This was a little frustrating as we had specifically booked a cottage with a secure garden with the dog in mind. Whilst the cottage is cosy, there is insufficient seating in the living area if everyone who is staying wants to sit on a comfortable seat. If there are three of you it’s great!. The lack of a visitors book meant that it took us some time to fathom the log burner and cooker. And the lack of fire irons made having a fire somewhat tricky. Overall a lovely stay which would be five stars if the points above are addressed.
