A beautiiful property. The view from the deck is amazing. The short walk to the beach a plus. The beach is private and very lovely. The cottage is remarkable and had everything a person would need, and more. I am very pleased that I chose this cottage and would definitely return. Highly recommend this cottage. Thank you to Mike.

Great Getaway!

The pictures do not do justice to the amazing view from the deck. We very much enjoyed our stay. As noted in other reviews, there are a lot of personal items around, but it was well-equipped with pretty much everything you need.The host was easy to contact and responded quickly to questions, and you can’t beat the location’s proximity to several fabulous beaches.

Magnificent view!

Very nice property with a huge deck overlooking the beach and bay. Stayed for 3 nights, and would recommend for a couple or 3 persons. Responsive host, answered all questions quickly. Thanks Mike!

Mid-summer full week stay

The time spent here was perfect from start to finish. Check in was as smooth as can be, host was great, non-intrusive but available if needed. Cottage was spectacularly clean with all the amenities. Location and view were 10/10. Look forward to staying next year as well. Thanks Mike!

Beautiful View

Was an awesome stay with a great view of the ocean and private beach. A bit of a drive to get to other locations, but the scenery makes it worth it. Space is hot in summer heat, would recommend bringing a fan. Closest beach is only a 4 minute drive away. Great place if you coming for a nice relaxing getaway. Would recommend to other families for a great vacation spot. Mike is also very easy to talk to.

Perfect getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful place! Mike was there to greet us and let us in, and available by text anytime we had questions. It was outfitted with anything and everything we needed and very cozy — we also slept really well! The only thing that didn’t match the property description was the ‘fireplace’ — it’s more of an outdoor fire table, that we never uncovered. It also looks like it’s right on the beach, but it’s just up and across the road from it. That said, the view from its deck was spectacular! We’d definitely stay here again.

A magnificent cottage with a view

Everything was perfect. The cottage was clean, there was space in the fridge. The place was very well decorated and welcoming. The beds were comfortables and the kitchen functional. We loved visiting Lunenberg and spent time at Carters Beach and Summerville beach. The children did not want to leave! Thanks to Mike and Deb for their trust.

Gorgeous

We stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and would definitely visit again. The listing is accurate snd photos are current. Weather was a bit chilly but we walked the beach every day and enjoyed our morning coffee on the large patio. Everything we needed was there… including paper towel and dish soap etc. Beautiful spot! I read previous reviews about personal items remaining in the house so wasn’t surprised to see such things when we arrived. I would prefer not having them there but don’t affect our stay one way or the other. Just shows host loves spending time there too :) I bombarded Mike with emails leading up to our stay and he responded promptly every single time. He even found an item we left behind and contacted me right away. Had a wonderful weekend!! Little peace of heaven right in our own province.

Not a VR but someone's home

Not impressed. This is not a "Vacation Rental" but someone's house that they vacated for a week. It felt like we we staying a someone's house and not a VR. Lots of personal items left out including food, toothbrush, razor, family pictures, personal papers, lots of clothing and more. The fridge has lots of food and did not leave enough room for our food. Second bed was inadequate (mattress missing boxspring) and low to the ground. The main bed was too high and my spouse had trouble climbing into the bed. The couch is very old, worn out and uncomfortable. We did enjoy the quiet location and view.

Fall visit to Port Mouton

Nice little cottage with a great view of the ocean. Very close to Carters and Summerville beaches. The owner was very easy to work with after I messed up the initial booking. Only negative was the amount of personal items and clutter everywhere made us feel like we put the owner out of his house for the weekend. However, it’s a great cottage and we would stay there again.

Amazing spot

Really comfortable cottage. Gorgeous view and close to some of the most beautiful beaches in Nova Scotia. It was prefect.

Nice Summer Get Away

Great view from deck to enjoy the water and scenery. We had hot weather that caused hot nights for sleeping so air conditioning would have been appreciated. Overall nice relaxing vacation rental!

Ein Traumhafter Ausblick

Wem es nicht stört in einem Haus zu wohnen wo der Vermieter einfach mal für die gebuchte Zeit wegbleibt, all seine Sachen da sind und man sich den Kühlschrank teilt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Bett und Badezimmer equipment sind reichlich vorhanden und bei bedarf tuen Trockner und Waschmaschine ihren Dienst! Die große Terrasse mit Möbeln, Liegen und Grill lädt nicht nur für den Ausblick über das Meer ein. Damit im sitzen die Aussicht nicht durch ein Geländer getrübt wird kann man gut durch die Scheiben gucken. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Do your Homework

After reading the review by Thomas S., well I had to give my two cents worth as well. We have stayed in VRBO's in the Bahamas, New England, and Atlantic Canada.....this rental was seriously at the very bottom of the list. If you are going to be a 'vacation renter', we do not want to see your personal items (including family photos, clothing, boots, shoes, toiletries, personal papers, etc. - lock all personal items away). We want to walk into a rental to feel refreshed and not overwhelmed. As Thomas S. stated, no room in the fridge....that was a biggy for us. No propane available for the bbq, and please clean your bbq for future renters. You need to supply outside (locked) garbage bins. We had to take our garbage to the local gas station dumpster. I must say the view was beautiful and we loved the area.

Beautiful and comfortable house

This place is wonderful. The house is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The deck is amazing, beautiful and spacious and comfortable with an unbeatable view of the beach. My kids (ages 3-6) and I stayed here while visiting my grandmother and we loved it. Mike was helpful and quick to respond to questions. I would highly recommend this place.
