About the property

2 Bedrooms, Sleeping 4, in a quiet area, 1 minute from the waterside

Located in West Looe, St Crispin is the middle floor flat of a converted house which dates back to the late 1890's. Uninterrupted views of the Harbour, East Looe, Beach and out to Sea can be seen from both bedrooms and the Large bay window in the Lounge.

Set back from the main road, the property has its own entrance at the front accessed from the rear of the property.

You can join this property with the downstairs flat - search for Property 8227397 Trade Winds.

Looe is built around an estuary which leads to the sea and most of the properties in West Looe are built on the hillside. The access to St Crispin is up a zig-zag slope from the road and steps to the front door. There are also steps up to Hannafore Lane which runs along the back of the house.

Unfortunately we don't have parking at the property, but there is free on street parking available on Hannafore Point (5-10 mins walk) or Pay and Display car parks on West Looe Quay (2 mins walk) or the Mill Pool Car Park (5 min walk along the harbour). You can stop close to the property to unload/load.

The property has been completely refurbished (April 2013) with new furnishings throughout. Mixed with some original features to maintain the properties character.

St Crispin has a bright and airy lounge with a large Bay window with Double doors to the front, TV, DVD and Wi-Fi, plus Dining seating for 4 people.

Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed, wardrobe, bedside tables and chest of drawers, with large windows. Bedroom 2 has twin beds, plus a wardrobe and bedside table. An additional bed can be put in Bedroom 1 to sleep a child or there is space for your own travel cot (not provided).

The Apartment has a new bathroom with toilet, bath and electric shower and a new kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, cooker, hob and microwave.

Sleeps up to 4 (+1 baby/child sharing Bedroom 1) in 2 bedrooms

Car not necessary as you have many bus links and the train station connects to the main line at Liskeard.

We have holidayed in Looe a number of times and fell in love with the area and the people. We are so pleased to have a base that we can use when in Looe and hope we have made it as homely as possible so that you will like staying there as well.

The property has stunning views from the bedrooms and the large bay window in the Lounge - you can lose time just looking out the window watching the Fishing boats or gazing out to sea or into the town.

We had a great time, helped by the delightful apartment and its great views, the delightful weather and lovely Cornish coast and countryside and its many attractions and a great walk along twenty plus miles of the coast path.

Fantastic views in a quiet area.

Louise's apartment is just lovely with a beachy feel. Was well set up and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would mention is that there's a long uphill ramp to the apartment which could be a consideration for some.

Our third year in a row now and still enjoying Looe and St Crispin. The owners really try hard to ensure everything is perfectly in order for their guests. Spotlessly clean, comfortable & cosy apartment, with an outstanding lookout view to Looe.

Some of the best views in Looe

Wonderful, well equipped apartment with fantastic views.

My husband and I found the initial 'get in' quite hectic. We parked our car on the main Hannafore road and had two relatively steep inclines to take our cases to the apartment. The car was then parked a few minutes away in the Millpool car park. However, this effort upon entering the apartment proved well worthwhile with incredible views of the harbour and the Banjo pier.

East Looe has a good selection of shops and eateries. We particularly liked the pub grub at the Black Swan and the friendly service. All the little tucked away streets and alleys are worth exploring. The beach area is clean and nice for people watching.

West Looe where we were based is quieter than its neighbour but worth a walk around as is the short trek to Hannafore Point.

We also visited Polperro, a quaint olde Worlde fishing village but beware the high parking costs (our opinion) in the large main/only public car park...!

The accommodation itself was perfect for the two of us. Well equipped, clean and the 'Welcome' pack was very...er,.....welcome, after our journey.

We would recommend this apartment to anyone as long as they don't mind a little bit of lung stretching at the start. Trust me, it's worth it.

The Looe train station links you to the mainline station at Liskeard giving you direct access to the main Cornwall and Devon towns like Truro, Plymouth, Falmouth and Penzance; plus there are local buses to the surrounding villages and towns.

Many of the boats in the harbour are working fishing vessels which you can take a trip on for a few hours or the Glass Bottom takes you around Looe Island to see the underwater world.

St Georges Island or 'Looe Island' is a Nature Sanctuary run by Cornwall Wildlife Trust which can be visited in the summer months by boat from the Harbour.
