Escape to Icabaru — a private house set among the olive groves of Zakynthos, minutes from the sandy beaches of Laganas and Kalamaki. Quiet enough to properly switch off, close enough to everything the island has to offer. Your own little corner of Zante.

THE SPACE
Icabaru is built around outdoor living. The patio is where the holiday really happens — morning coffee on the sun loungers, long evenings at the charcoal BBQ with the dining table outside, the kind of pace that's hard to find anywhere else.
Inside, the bedroom has a queen-sized bed with direct access to the patio, a full wardrobe, and blackout curtains for when you need a proper lie-in. The living room is bright and spacious, with large windows, a comfortable double sofa bed and a futon — perfect for two couples travelling together or a family with kids. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, not just holiday snacks, and there's a washing machine so you can pack light.
The whole house is air-conditioned throughout, and the garden is completely private with its own dedicated parking space right outside the front door.

GUEST ACCESS
The entire house and garden are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Private entrance, private parking, no shared spaces. Outdoor areas have security cameras for peace of mind.

THE AREA
Ampelokipi is a quiet, residential area just inland from the coast — close enough to Laganas and Kalamaki for a short drive to the beach, far enough to actually sleep at night. The National Marine Park of Zakynthos is just 3 minutes away, Laganas Beach is 4 minutes, and the airport is a 12-minute drive — ideal for late arrivals and early departures.
Don't miss Navagio Beach and the Blue Caves — hire a boat for the day and explore the coastline properly. The island has layers, and Panos is always happy to point you in the right direction.

A refundable €200 security deposit is collected on arrival and returned in full at checkout. Only registered guests may stay at the property. Parties and events are not permitted. EV charging is not available on site.

As a local, I know the quiet beaches that don't show up on the main tourist maps, the family tavernas worth the drive, and the best time to get to Navagio before the day-trip boats arrive. I'm always happy to share what I know — just ask.
I speak English, Greek and Spanish, and I respond quickly — usually within the hour. What I enjoy most is hosting guests who want to experience Zakynthos properly. The island has layers, and I love helping people find them.
I also manage four other properties nearby — a villa sleeping up to 15, and three apartments — so if you're travelling as a larger group or with friends, we can accommodate everyone close together while each group has their own private space.

From here you can reach every corner of Zakynthos without long drives. Navagio Beach, the Blue Caves, the turtle nesting beaches of Kalamaki, the vineyards in the hills — all within easy reach. There are good tavernas nearby for when you don't want to cook, and a supermarket just around the corner for when you do.
It's a part of the island that locals actually live in, which gives it a completely different feel from the resort strips. Quiet, genuine, and perfectly positioned.

The wooden ceilings, the large glass windows that flood the living room with light, the private garden with proper sun loungers and a charcoal BBQ — every detail was chosen with the guest experience in mind.
What genuinely sets it apart is the outdoor space. The patio is large enough to live on — dining table, BBQ, sun loungers, complete privacy. On a warm Zakynthos evening with the BBQ lit and a bottle of local wine on the table, there isn't a better place to be on the island.
The house is also unusually flexible for its size. The bedroom comfortably sleeps two, but the living room with its double sofa bed and futon means up to five guests can stay without anyone feeling cramped. It works equally well for a couple wanting a quiet retreat or a small family needing the extra space.
And then there's Panos. Guests consistently mention him in their reviews — his local knowledge, his responsiveness, his genuine interest in making sure every stay is a good one. That personal touch is something no larger hotel or anonymous rental can replicate.
