The house is located below the mountain and has magnificent panoramic views towards Sortlandsundet and Langøya in the west, as well as Lofoten and Vesterålen's highest mountain Møysalen. From the terrace you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and midnight sun that can be seen on good weather days in spring and summer, a great experience. Eagles are constantly hovering over the roof, and there are a lot of moose in the area. In winter, it is great to observe the northern lights. The shipping lane passes by and the Hurtigruten passes daily. The area has a great hiking terrain with many hiking trails along the fjord and in the mountains. At Andenes, whale watching with boats out at sea is an exciting experience for the whole family; here the big whales can be experienced up close. Visit the many small fishing villages out on the west side of Langøya and Andøya, or drive an hour to the fishing village Nyksynd in Øksnes and to beautiful fishing villages in Bø in Vesterålen. Fishing has been a way of life for people for generations in the region. 10 km to the coastal town of Sortland which is Lofoten and Vesterålen's shopping center with many shops and restaurants.
