Town: Timsgearraidh is a village situated in the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, resting between Doune and Stornoway. The village is known for its white sandy beaches and walks and offers a selection of attractions including Uig Museum. Dining options include Uig Community Tearoom however you will have to travel to Doune in order to find a pub, for example Doune Braes Hotel, while you can stock up on essentials at the nearby Uig community store. Within easy reach of the village is the popular town of Stornoway, where you can find further attractions and amenities such as Raon Goilf Golf Course, bars and restaurants.

Tigh Bhisa Blackhouse

This is a wonderfully restored blackhouse that was renovated with an addition that houses the kitchen, bath and entry hall. The great room and bedroom are very spacious as they take up the blackhouse space. The skylights add plenty of light and wood stove makes it a cozy environment. A small annoyance is the shower is quite small corner unit. I’m 6 feet tall and 180 pounds so it was tight! There are a couple outdoor spaces and a good sized private lawn. There is a water view as you look past a residence in front of Tigh Bhisa.
