Bournemouth Getaway for 14
Situated in a quiet residential road but 5 mins walk from Charminster, the cosmopolitan area of Bournemouth, this large 5 bedroom detached house sleeps 14. There is a downstairs bathroom/toilet and 2 upstairs shower rooms and toilets. The 2 adjacent spacious lounges provide flexible entertaining areas and the large kitchen dining area includes the 14 seat table and chalk wall. Parking is free and unrestrictive on and off road. In adherence with owner policies, no parties or events are allowed.
So much to choose from in Charminster depending on the direction that you walk. Take a 2 minute walk in one direction and you will discover restaurants, late night bars, live music, takeaways, ice-cream parlour, beauty salons, an 'Escape Room', bicycle hire and not forgetting a Tesco Express, all in just one small buzzing high street. Walk 5 minutes in the other direction and you will discover the large green open space of Winton Recreation Ground, offering tennis courts, a childrens play park, childrens nature trails, small woodland area and cafe. Walking to Winton Rec, you will pass Stokewood Leisure Centre which has a public swimming pool and sauna. If you prefer a longer walk, Bournemouth town centre, upper and lower gardens and beaches are 20 -25 minutes away (5 minutes if you use one of the frequent buses from Charminster), or take the longer scenic route through the tree lined Meyrick Park, a very large public park ideal for picnics, to play ball games or watch one of the many music festivals held here. For the golf enthusiast Queens Park pay per play golf course is also within walking distance but also offers free parking too.
Hop on one of the frequent buses from Charminster and you will be in the centre of town in 5 minutes, (you can walk this in 20 minutes), take the bus in the other direction and you will be at the Castlepoint shopping centre in 10 minutes. If you would prefer to cycle, you can hire the distinctive green Beryl bikes conveniently situated in a designated zone in Charminster. Cycling is permitted along the promenade, but it is subject to restrictions at certain times. Please check the notices on the signposts near the beach. Just a 20 minute walk is Bournemouth Interchange, from here you can access the railway station to travel to the New Forest, ideal for hiking, horse riding and cycling or catch one of the many buses to travel to the world renowned Purbecks, National Express also stop at Bournemouth Interchange.so within walking distance but also offers free parking too.
