Spacious, Charming, Clean Home Close To The Beach!

Welcome to your home away from home in Carlsbad! We are proud to provide our guests with a home that is comfortablek, beautiful, spacious and exceptionally clean.

Our favorite part of hosting is providing a place for you to make beautiful memories with family & friends that will last a lifetime.

***Please note: All guests must honor quiet hours from 10pm to 8am, and be respectful to our house & our neighbors.***

Less than a mile from the beach, and only 3 miles from Legoland, this Olde Carlsbad gem is the perfect place for family and friends to call their home away from home. Groceries are a short one-minute walk, and Starbucks, Leucadia Pizza, and the Village Pie Shop are less than a 5-minute walk from our home.

Full details of each of the spaces are listed below. All rooms with televisions include access to Hulu+ Live TV, Disney+, and ESPN+ as well as Amazon Prime Video. The home also has central air conditioning (rare for Carlsbad!) and heating. And almost every room in the house has a ceiling fan to keep you cool and comfortable.

Fast, free WiFi is included in the home.

There is a brand new bank of EV chargers (EVgo) located just steps from our home in the Vons parking lot.

The Living Room:
The living room has beautiful bay windows, a large 65" Smart HD TV, blue ray DVD player and gas fireplace.

Dining Room/Kitchen:
There is a huge table with room enough for 8-10 people, and a sliding glass door to let in the cool ocean breezes. The kitchen is oversized with plenty of what you need to cook for everyone at home.

Backyard:
There is a large patio table with room for 8 people cooled by an overhead fan. The jacuzzi has enough room for 6 adults, with color changing LED lights, waterfall feature and plenty of jets. The outdoor fire pit is the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine at night, or make s'mores (with or without the kids!). There is also a large gas BBQ for outdoor grilling. The backyard retreat lights up at night with cafe lights throughout. A water fountain provides for the soothing sounds of running water. And there is a surfboard shower for a whimsical and warm rinse after a day at the beach!

Front Yard:
There are adirondack chairs for enjoying the Carlsbad breezes, and a small lawn for the kids to enjoy as well.

Rooms:
The largest en-suite bedroom is downstairs, and includes a King size bed and attached bathroom with private shower. There is a 32" HD TV and beautiful French doors with private access to the patio.

The second downstairs bedroom includes a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa, as well as a 49" flat screen HD TV.

An additional half bathroom is located downstairs for communal use.

The upstairs en-suite bedroom has a queen bed and attached bathroom with private shower. There is an 32" HD TV.

The 3rd bedroom (upstairs) has a queen bed and 32" HD TV.

The 4th bedroom (upstairs) has two twin beds (and even an extra trundle bed) and kid friendly décor.

There is a 3rd bathroom in the upstairs hallway with a full tub/shower.

Proximity:
• 3/4 mile to beautiful Tamarack State beach
• 1/4 mile to Agua Hedionda Lagoon, where you can enjoy water sports like jet skiing, water skiing, and wakeboarding. Or you can venture to the quieter side and peacefully paddleboard and kayak.
• 3 miles from Legoland
• Convenient and close proximity to Carlsbad Village, Carlsbad Premium Outlets and the Carlsbad Flower Fields
• Golfing, dining and shopping are also close by
• The Oceanside pier and harbor are a 10-minute drive north, and the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, San Diego Airport and more are approx. 30 minutes South
• Within immediate walking distance are a grocery store, drugstore, Leucadia Pizzeria, Starbucks and the Village Pie Shop.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet hours are 10pm-10am. Any calls to the police for noise violations will incur a $500 fine + immediate eviction from the property without refund.
No street parking allowed. All cars must be parked in the garage or the driveway. No block the sidewalk at any time.
All sand and debris must be rinsed off before entering the jacuzzi. A $200 cleaning fee will be assessed if any sand is found upon departure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in was super easy. The home was quite comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The kids especially enjoyed the availability of the boogie boards and the games in the game closet. The parents found the super clean jacuzzi quite relaxing at the end of a busy day. Definitely a place that I would recommend.

Great home base for our family to explore the area

We had a wonderful stay in Carlsbad. The home was close to all amenities and especially the beach and the highway for exploring the area. We really enjoyed the hot tub after walking all day at Disneyland, the San Diego Zoo and Legoland with our grand children. Thank you for making great memories in Southern California.

Great place to stay!

This is a great place to stay! It is walking distance from the beach, grocery store and in a nice neighborhood. The fenced backyard was perfect for my young grandkids. The owners are very nice and the place was very relaxing and in very good condition. I highly recommend it!

We were visiting Oceanside for a sporting event that got cancelled due to bad weather prior to our arrival. So we never ended up staying at the home. Our payment had been made a long time ago and was non-refundable but the owners were very helpful in helping us recover at least the cleaning fees. Definitely good owners to rent from and I would highly recommend booking with them.

Our family of 9 stayed at this home for a long weekend at the beach. The home is very clean and well stocked with anything you need for family dinners or trips to the beach. This was a fantastic house in a great location and wonderful hosts! We ate fruit from the trees, enjoyed the hot tub and spacious, inviting backyard! The house was fully stocked and whatever we needed was across the street at Von's. Village Pie Shop was excellent as well! Would definitely recommend this home for your vacation!

We went to visit family with my 91 year old father in law, daughter and friends in their late 20’s and my son, daughter in law and our 4 month old grandson. So many memories walking to the beach, lunches, spending time in the sun in the backyard and hot tub! Owners were so flexible and responsive within minutes of a request. Great supermarket across the street and church etc. Highly recommended!

This is a very comfortable house with all one needs to have a relaxing stay. The host is responsive to any needs that arise and the location is quite good, especially since the 1/2 mile walk to the beach is not an issue for families with older children. We were amazed at how well stocked this home was. The location was superb. The yard was well kept, safe and a joy for our little ones. Loved the outdoor shower after the beach. Walking across the street to Vons was awesome. Everything about this home was delightful and we will return.

Great/Clean place to stay

We were in town for a friends wedding and found this lovely home to stay while in Carlsbad! It was perfect for the 6 of us (3 couples). Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom and the house was very clean. It’s within walking distance to the beach and a Vons right across the street. We would highly recommend this home for a small group of people to enjoy the California coast!

We enjoyed all the amenities. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to enjoy the beach this trip.The only down side is that the hot tub took long too long to heat up. Another down side is that we could not enjoy the hot tub after 10.

Mom's 97th birthday

My siblings and I decided on Carlsbad to celebrate my Moms 97th birthday. The area was great, the property and home were beautiful ,well maintained with many amenities to support the interests of guests of all ages. The backyard was well manicured with a jacuzzi, dining area, grill and lounge area. Heather, was fantastic, she was available to answer questions, assist with recommendations on dining, local attractions and interesting places to explore. . Mom had a memorable birthday and wants to see more.Thank you!Highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Why they chose this property

It's close proximity to the ocean, water sports at the lagoon and Legoland. It's also close to wonderful restaurants, shopping and golf. The property was fully renovated a few years back, and has a lovely large backyard with old growth trees.
