It is also a short walk on foot to various cafes, bars, beach bars, a barbecue restaurant (all within 10 minutes) and even the Katakolo Port (15-minute drive) famous for excursions (trains, buses and taxis) to Ancient Olympia.

A little further from the port is the sunken ancient city of Pheia, now called Agios Andreas and the Katakolon Museum of Ancient Greek Technology, especially interesting for those who are classical period enthusiasts.
