4 person holiday home in MELLERUD

This nice house is located in a fantastic rural idyll outside Mellerud in Dalsland. The house is located in a scenic area with only five minutes’ walk down to beautiful Lake Vänern. The house is surrounded by a large, lovely garden where there is room to socialize, here is both a glazed terrace and a terrace without a roof where you can lie in the sun and enjoy. On the plot on the Terrass is a Whirpool where you can bath. At the back of the house, you have a small cozy walking path that leads down to Lake Vänern, where there is a small fine sandy beach and outdoor furniture where you can sit and enjoy coffee. A beautiful place where you can look far out over Lake Vänern. The house is about 70 sqm, you are welcomed into a newly renovated and fresh house which has underfloor heating. In the first room on the left there is a double bedroom, the next room on the left you will find a bedroom with a bunk bed. Straight ahead is the bathroom, where there is also underfloor heating. To the right of the hall and the first room to the left is a small kitchen, after that the next room is a large and lovely living room with a comfortable sofa in front of the wood burning stove where you can fire for a high coziness factor, in the living room there are also kitchen tables and chairs. The glazed terrace is located just outside the living room where you can sit and enjoy good meals. Outside the glazed terrace there is a large terrace for moments in the sun, in the pool house which is located right next to the house you can SPA by a both bubble and sauna or sit in the massage chair. Here it’s room for four people. You can count on it not being good mobile coverage around the house, but it is possible to use the house's fiber connection. To do: To the nearest bathing area, you have a five minutes’ walk, but we also recommend a trip to “Vita Sandar” with its long white and shallow sandy beach, suitable for swimming of all ages, there is also mini golf and a restaurant. For those who like cycling, there are good cycle paths in the area, hiking trails, Mellerud’s Golf Course is nearby. In the woods and on the ground, there are plenty of berries and mushrooms. For those of you who are interested in fishing, it is very good fishing in Lake Vänern, here you can get salmon, trout, pike, and perch. You can take your boat with you on a cart as there is space to park outside the house, loading ramp is at Sunnanå harbor. (approx. 15 km) Hamrane bakstuga (Baking cabin) is almost a must when you visit Mellerud, you can get there by car in about 20 minutes where you can enjoy homemade baking goods, clams (hot cake, butter and grated cheese) get moved back to old-time Dalsland. Hjortens Udde is about a 10 minutes’ drive from the cottage or a nice walk or bike ride. A scenic place that is known for its lighthouse that has served Vänersjöfarten for over 150 years. The lighthouse is 15 meters high and completely built of wood, here you can swim at the bathing place Udden. Visit Dalbergså where you have a cozy country store and café where, among other things, good waffles are served. (approx. 9.3 km) Or why not visit Dalaborg which is a ruin after a medieval castle located on a headland just north of the Dalbergsån outlet in Lake Vänern. (approx. 6.5 km) When visiting Mellerud, it is almost a must to visit Håverud, which is one of several mills along the Dalsland Canal. The canal's major attraction is the Aqueduct in Håverud, here you can experience a unique meeting between land, railway, and water. There is Håferud's brasserie, smokehouse, café and museum. You can get here by car in about 30 minutes. For those of you who want to experience and be completely sure to see "The King of the Forest", we recommend a visit to Dalsland's activities, which is one of Europe's largest facilities when it comes to experiences and adventures in forest and land, there is also a restaurant and café. There is a lot to experience in Dalsland and a visit to each municipality you do with a maximum of one hour drive from the house, Färgelanda, Åmål, Bengtsfors and Ed. In Ed you can visit Dalslands Moose Ranch where you are welcomed by moose, here you can take the perfect holiday picture!
