Excellent Stay

We had the best family get together weekend at Gleann FIA. Plenty room for everyone to have space, the back garden was a sun trap and the games room upstairs was a big hit with us all. The house is so well equipped, beds very comfortable and it’s an easy walk into the village. The hosts were very accommodating with our requests and we would highly recommend this holiday rental.

Great location within Loch Lomond region

Was great to have the extra space and the location was great. Only disappointment was there were no paper towels or something to scrub pans in the kitchen, other that it was a great stay and I would recommend.

Lovely property

Had a lovely stay in the house with 5 friends. Great location and lovely roads/walks nearby. As one of the other reviews said, we spent most the time upstairs playing pool etc. Beds were all clean and comfortable and plenty of space for parking for the cars.

50th Birthday weekend

House was fantastic , much bigger than it looked in pictures. Games room was great and we had a fun couple of nights playing pool and basketball. Weather was amazing while we were there so we walked into town about 10 min and had a few drinks in the bothy pub by the loch. We ate at Cu Mara bistro which was fantastic.

Beautiful property we all enjoyed our stay

Had wonderful time family get together finally after all COVID restrictions bit sad to see some local businesses haven’t been able to survive but you cannot fault the scenery and the people. We were technically challenged with tv and entertainment centre but got tennis mandatory football thankfully when we needed them. I’m sure we left the property pristine media instructions would have been so helpful printed. Many thanks again Lee and Kerry

70th Birthday

What a lovely roomy house, we all loved it. Lee and Kerry were very helpful when booking. There was a few small issues. But, we could live with them. I certainly would reccomend staying there as we could go into different rooms and outdoors. The games room is amazing, although it could do with a couple of things being fixed. There is also plenty to do and see not far from the house.

A peaceful home from home

This is a lovely large house with bags of space and everything you need in a relaxing base to explore Scotland. It is beautifully decorated, and we’ll equipped with all the kitchen essentials. The upstairs is definitely a fun area, it is massive and contains a pool table, bar cinema screen, books, games and more, After our days of walking and exploring Scotland we spent a few hours up there having some great family time. The weather wasn’t good enough for us to use the outdoor area but that room was great, I would definitely recommend this house, Many thanks

Lovely property

Property is in a great location for exploring Scotland with Fort William and Edinburgh being under 2 hours away. There are also lots of lovely walks to do nearby. The property is a good size with comfortable beds and furniture and accommodated our family of 8 (which consisted of 3 generations) well. The games room was a huge hit with young and old and while the cinema area looks awesome the chairs aren't the most comfy to sit in to watch a whole movie so we didn't really use this. We had everything we needed for a lovely stay but it would have been nice to have some info available on how different appliances worked as we couldn't get some channels on the downstairs TV. Overall we all loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Lovely home

This was a lovely, spacious, well-kept home. Beds were very comfortable and every room well-appointed. We had a little trouble locking the doors (you have to turn the handle up just so at just the right moment), but otherwise our stay was very comfortable. My teenagers really enjoyed the game room, and several of the adults picked up the provided books to read. I would advise future guests to do any major shopping before arrival, as the local shop is tiny and very limited. To the owners: one or two more trash bins would be appreciated!

Stay with friends

Unreal stay. The location is scenic and looks like something out of a magazine. Before even arriving I got a phone call off the host to tell me about the bad rain and that the lake was on flood and to use a different road to get to the property and also to inform me the pool table doesn’t require cash. The host again showing they’re a great host by FaceTiming us to assist us with the sound system for the projector we couldn’t get to work. The stay was homely and the games room was more than we expected with a massive amount of board games, projector with an amazon fire stick, a bar, karaoke, sofas, cinema chairs, a pool table, a foosball table, a table for table tennis and a full table tennis table outside, if the games room had a fridge and darts board in there we’d probably have never left. Great stay to get together with friends when life is so busy, can’t thank the hosts enough for our stay. We would definitely return.

50th birthday weekend, bit disappointing

On arrival we arrived around 15 mins early and the cleaner was still at property, first impressions on arrival was that property looked great, great size and the games area was perfect, however after looking at the rooms it was clear that the house keeping wasn’t up to scratch as very dusty floors, it was like it was a quick going over with cleaning, and the sofa when reclined was full of crumbs, bad mould in the en-suite bathroom and shower I also felt the bedding was not fresh as had lots of black fluff and debris on the sheets, On a positive note. Bed and pillows were comfy and the kitchen was well equipted, games room was also a big bonus and aeroplane seats were very quirky , the projector had an amazing picture quality and huge I did notify the owners of the basketball machine not turning on and karaoke machine not working but didn’t get a response the full weekend which was so disappointing as we love to spend nights on karaoke All in all had a good weekend but cleanliness let the house down as I paid a huge amount for what I would hoped to be a five star weekend but more like 2-3 stars

We want your stay at Gleann Fia House to be exceptional. If you need anything during your visit or have any special requests, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we’ll do our best to help. Your comfort is our priority, and we always welcome feedback to make future stays even better.

Why they chose this property

Nestled in the heart of Arrochar, surrounded by towering mountains and the calm waters of Loch Long, Gleann Fia House sits in one of the most peaceful corners of the Scottish Highlands. The scene is always changing — soft morning mist drifting across the loch, golden light catching the peaks of The Cobbler, and evenings where the hills turn deep purple as the sun drops behind them. It’s the kind of place where time seems to slow down.

What I enjoy most about the area is the balance between tranquillity and adventure. Step outside and you’re moments away from world-class walking routes, breathtaking viewpoints, wildlife spotting, and quiet lochside trails perfect for switching off. On rainy days, there’s something special about being cosy indoors, listening to the weather roll over the hills while the loch remains calm below. And when the skies clear, the stars here are incredible — crisp, bright and unspoiled by light pollution.

Arrochar has a charm of its own too: friendly cafés, local pubs, incredible scenery in every direction, and that unmistakable Highland atmosphere. Whether it’s a peaceful retreat, an active weekend, or a family escape, the area has a way of making you breathe a little deeper and feel a little lighter.

Gleann Fia House sits right at the centre of all of it — a comfortable base surrounded by beauty, calm, and that unmistakable Highland magic.

What makes this property unique

Gleann Fia House stands out because it offers the best of the Highlands in one place — luxury, comfort, and unforgettable scenery, all wrapped into a truly relaxing stay.

The house combines modern design with cosy Highland character, giving guests a premium experience from the moment they arrive. What sets it apart is the attention to detail: a private hot tub with mountain views, a stylish garden retreat space, and plenty of thoughtful touches that make it feel more like a home than a holiday let.

Inside, the cinema and games room create an all-weather haven — perfect for families, couples, and groups looking to unwind after exploring the hills. Whether the weather is bright sunshine or typical Scottish rain, there’s always something to enjoy.

Its location in Arrochar is another highlight. With Loch Long on your doorstep, The Cobbler just minutes away, and incredible views in every direction, guests get that true Highland escape without being far from local cafés, pubs, walking routes, and attractions.

What truly makes Gleann Fia House unique is the experience: peaceful, scenic, and designed for relaxation. It’s a place you can come to switch off, reconnect, and enjoy the Highlands in comfort — no matter the season.
