This small and quiet country village has a traditional village pub serving home cooked food, yet is only 3 miles from the market town of Brampton where you will find a variety of quaint little shops selling quality gifts and produce, and some excellent pubs and restaurants. Hayton is ideally placed to enjoy the many attractions close by, none more so than the iconic Hadrian’s Wall where you can walk stretches of this World Heritage Site.

A visit to Talkin Tarn Country Park is a great day out for all the family with its 65-acre lake set amid 120 acres of farmland and woodland, the ideal place to enjoy a walk or even try your hand at some boating on the lake. A mere half hour drive you can explore the delights of the Lake District National Park with its majestic hills and lakes, or cross the border for a scenic drive into Scotland.
