About this property

Dog friendly, fenced yard, sitting on the shore of Oxbow Lake

Sitting on the south side of the lake, Oxbow cottage has 70 feet of beautiful lake front with a 40ft dock. the north side of the lake is state owned and home to wildlife and gorgeous mountain views. Surrounded by hiking and snowmobile trails Oxbow offers great year round adventures for the outdoors enthusiast.
The Cottage
full foundation, insulated and updated with modern amenities, including washer/dryer, propane furnace, and dishwasher allowing for rural scenery with urban luxuries. Centrally located in the Adirondacks and mimicking Adirondack style, the cottage has wood floors and walls and rustic decor.
Outdoors
A large patio with outdoor furniture, gas grill, picnic table, fire pit and chairs offer relaxation next to the water's edge. Swimming and sunbathing, 2 kayaks for use as well as, fishing poles. Across the lake is a popular rope swing for those seeking extra water fun.
Fall
The falls foliage is breathtaking along the lake and mountain views across the lake.
Pets
The yard is fenced in for pets.
We keep our cottage clean and request the same from renters. No Pets on the furniture please.

The pictures don’t even do this cute little cabin justice. The lake is beautiful and private. We had everything we needed and more. We will definitely be back!

Perfect cabin for a vacation in the Adirondacks! Sits right on Oxbow lake and has a beautiful view. Cabin is spacious, clean and provides everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Bird lovers paradise

This is our second time staying at the cabin at Oxbow and love everything about it. The Eagle, Heron, Ducks, Humminbirds, Kingfishers and especially Loons made our stay magical. The fishing was great, and the twilight campfires on lakes edge were the perfect end to the day.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway

The cottage was cute, cozy and comfortable. The lake was absolutely beautiful. Our family kayaked every day and collectively caught over 30 fish! We used the fire pit on nice nights and watched movies on the rainy ones. The owners were quick to respond to messages and were gracious hosts.

Best vacation ever!!!

Words cannot describe how amazing this location is. Fishing. Kayaking. Near hiking trails. Everything you need is provided. Not only did my family love it, my dogs did too. We are all ready planning on returning next summer!!!!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!

The house was perfect for our family, 3 adults and 3 young children. The owner described it perfectly and it had everything we needed. The house was well-appointed and clean. We felt very comfortable. It was not a concern for us since the weather was clear and we traveled with AWD vehicles but the driveway is quite steep and could be an issue in bad or icy weather for some. Great house though!

A lovely lake get away

We were a family of 3 adults. The kayaks and paddle boat were a great plus. A canoe would be nice too. The cabin was fine especially the BIG refrigerator. We would have liked some floor lamps for reading. The furniture and mattresses were well used and may not be comfortable for some people. It was great to have our dog share our vacation with us. We will be back.

Cute ADK cabin

Cute, cozy cabin on Oxbow Lake. Cabin had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Loved staying on Oxbow Lake. Fishing was GREAT! The Oxbow Inn is 5 minutes away from the cabin. Food is delicious! Cabin is close to Speculator/Indian Lake/Blue Mountain for hiking. Lots of trails to ponds/lakes close by. Also several fire towers (if) doing the Fire Tower Challenge. We appreciated the kayaks and paddle boat for use on Oxbow Lake. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your cabin. We will be back!!!

Unbelievable view of the lake. House was very clean, everything you could need is there to use. Able to bring my dogs was a big thing for us. They even had dog dishes, beds and a crate for use if you needed them. This was a rare find! Would book again.

Best rental ever! Clean, comfortable & very well laid out both inside & out. Firepit on the lake edge with very comfortable chairs. The deck/porch was great with cushioned furniture. The fenced in yard was fantastic for our 2 dogs. Hope we can return next fall.

This place is perfect. The area is very quiet. It was great to walk outside and just get in the water. There is plenty in the kitchen for cooking and eating and enough supplies to get started such as trash bags and paper towels and TP. Would absolutely stay here again

Wonderful location! Close to the beautiful and quiet lake - perfect for relaxing and water activities. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing from the paddleboat and dock (my grandson caught 50 fish in 7 days!) and bonfires in the fire pit that is right at the water's edge. The cabin is cozy and comfortable and has everything you need. My pup loved the fenced in yard and dog run. This is our second year at this cabin - and we will be back for more!

Peaceful getaway

My husband and I stayed in the cabin with our dogs for his birthday weekend. It was beautiful on the water, the dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard and we got in some excellent relaxing. The cabin had everything you need for convenience and comfort. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fall stars

Went for a weekend with friends (6 of us) and the stay was great. Locating the house at night is a bit confusing but contacted the owner and got everything resolved quickly. Place was great for a lake side cabin and would recommend.

We had a good time. It was disappointing that some neighbors arrived on July 3 with friends and built a fire that burned all day with lots of smoke that drifted into our cabin and who made a lot of noise that night. It was the day it rained all day, June 30. Wish you had a canoe!!

Summer get-away

Beautiful location! Cabin has everything that is needed for a perfect get-away. Cute, comfortable and the location is right on the water. Quiet and friendly neighbors, quiet lake for fishing and kayaking and the bonfire pit right on the water edge is the perfect place to relax! We enjoyed our week so much, I came home and booked again for next summer already!
