Frequently bathed in light and the garden catches the sun for most of the day making it a great place to kickback and chill, listen and watch the bird life and admire the hill views. Set in an Area of outstanding Natural Beauty a conservation area and a UNESCO geopark. The large coach doors are impressive and everyone comments on how inviting it makes the place opening the living area out into the garden with the trees and views beyond and the views out across the valley. The cottage is warm and cosy with exposed stonewalls, beams, a real fire and importantly, comfortable sofas and beds. There is something a little bit quirky and different about the decor which guests are loving. The cottage is situated with walks right outside the front door in all directions with a Riverside walk with mini falls a short 5 minute walks away and the small market town of St Johns Chapel just a mile away by foot with 2 pubs, a cafe, a well stocked co-op and rural fortnightly cinema and Town hall where interesting things do happen! Being on the borders of County Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland there are places to go and things to do in every direction. The Lakes are just an hour for example, Beamish museum 45 minutes or more local attractions such as High Force 15 minute away or killhope lead mine 23 miles away.
