Great place in San Gimignano

The place is spotless and the house in perfectly situated in San Gimignano. We enjoyed the garden and we also visited Sienne and Florence, since we were central to everything. Great service from our hosts!

It was special

Staying in town allowed us to enjoy the village in the early morning and late evening,when it was quiet and without the hoards of tourists. The apartment was very comfortable with a tranquil garden. You just cannot go wrong staying there. The owners were delightful including excellent restaurant recommendations.

Awesome property in beautiful San Gimignano!

Thank you so much Cristina and Mario as my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to San Gimignano! We loved our stay in this garden house as not only was it the perfect location within the walls of San Gimignano but also as our home base in Tuscany(visited Volterra, Siena & Montalcino). This house had everything, off the beaten tourist path and Mr. T was fun! I hope we can return soon.

Fantastic

We arrived in San Gimeniano and was welcomed by Donella, Mario and there daughter Cristina. The appartment is fantastic and a dream for two persons. Lovely hosts

Pretty property right in the heart of San gimingiano with a charming garden. Car parking is not allowed in the centre so dropping off cases is a bit of a process but host Christina was v helpful. Checking out we decided not to bring the car in but walked to the parking provided by Mario.

Paradise in San Gimignano

The apartment in the heart of San Gimignano is stunning. Inside a very old structure is a very functional and modern apartment with all the modern conveniences Wifi, TV lovely seating area and a fully functional kitchen. The garden is spectacular and a wonderful place to spend time either in the sun or in the shade. It is a very short walk to the main square and all the happenings but it is also very quiet and separate from the tourist activities. A little piece of heaven in a incredible medieval town.

Perfect stay at the Garden House

My family had an absolutely wonderful time at the Garden House. Mario and his family were so helpful, lots of maps and good tips. The garden outside the house is impeccable, like a postcard. The house itself has been nicely updated without losing its Old World charm, a great job. San Gimignano is a great location to visit Tuscany. A magical city to wander around at night when it empties of tourists, and well positioned to Cinque Terre, Pisa, Montepulciano, Siena, Florence, Chianti and everything in between. Thank you Mario!

Amazing.. simply perfect.

From the moment we stepped into the property we knew it was going to be wonderful. From the authentic Tuscan decor to the tranquil garden filled with flowers and birds.. it truly is a special place. Superb location a pleasant stroll to the main piazza. Mario and Christina made us feel so welcome and beamed with pride when they saw how thrilled we were. Recommend the restaurant down the road and around the bend with the terrace overlooking the valley. Do not hesitate in booking this unique property! ❤️❤️❤️

lovely apartment and garden with resident tortoise.

We stayed here for nine nights and had a lovely relaxing holiday, the apartment was quiet, mostly, the garden was lovely and private, and we made good use of it.The only downside was lack of soundproofing, so we could hear every movement from apartment above and their bathroom was above our bedroom, so was noisy when they were flushing and showering.The owners, Mario and Donella, were very nice, as were their daughter Cristina and son-in-law Marco, they met us, and escorted us to the apartment, took time to show us everything, and very kindly provided a bottle of wine,a lovely touch.We would recommend a stay here.

Amazing

Everything was wonderful. From pre-trip communication with Cristina until we left gets 5 stars. The property is within the walls of the city therefore accessing via car is not easy. Cristina met us and showed us how to drive to the property and then where we could leave our car - this is approx. 5-10 mins walk from the property. The pictures really do not do the place justice. Yes it's rustic and quirky which makes the place unique. Mr T, the 70 year old tortoise is a special feature and we loved seeing him each morning. So if you want a very special place to stay within the city and easy access to Tuscany, this is the place for you.

The highlight of our trip to Tuscany

This flat is one of the best VRBO properties we have rented. The garden is its best feature, it is huge and flowery and private - and comes complete with a resident tortoise called Mr. T! The flat itself is well equipped, comfortable and downright beautiful. the photos cannot do it justice, that's how good it is. The only surprise was that there is no oven, so when we brought home a roast chicken from the excellent market (Thursdays in the square) we were a bit puzzled as to how to heat it up. My husband used a big frying pan - which worked a treat! Cristina and her family are delighful, and always there to offer advice when you cannot find something. We will be back here - again and again!

Truly an Oasis

If I could give more that 5 stars I would--that is how much we enjoyed our stay. As soon as we walked into the courtyard we knew that this was going to be a special place and we were not disappointed. The apartment itself was perfect and we loved hearing about the history of Mario's family living there. Then when Cristina took us to the garden we felt like we had stepped into a little piece of heaven! I cannot think of a more perfect place for me and my husband to spend time together celebrating our 35 years of marriage. Mario and Cristina welcomed us as family and they did everything to make sure we had everything that we needed. It is very obvious the care that they take to make this a very special place. I must say that we were very sad to leave, but we look forward to going back again. Thank you so much Mario and Cristina for allowing us to enjoy such a beautiful retreat. We will always think of you when we think of our time in Tuscany! Grazie mille!! Liz and Marshall

Charming place!!!

Cristina was always available and quite knowledgeable about the area. The 5 minute walk to parking was a huge plus. The yard was incredibly beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

Eine schöne Zeit in San Gimignano

Die Erwartungen an den Aufenthalt in San Gimignano haben sich voll erfüllt. Schöne rustikale Unterkunft in der Nähe des Zentrums mit allen Annehmlichkeiten die man braucht. Optimale Lage um die Toskana zu erkunden und gleichzeitig den Flair einer sehr gut erhaltenen mittelalterlichen Stadt zu genießen.

What a gem in San Gimignano. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely apartment.

This apartment is located in an excellent location within the walls of San Gimignano. Easy access to everything in town. Less than a minute to the main Piazza. From the moment you are greeted by Mario and Cristina, you feel like you’re a part of their family. Warm friendly, and ready to assist in every way. Off site parking is available which is a Big plus in Italy. Cristina was so kind to meet me at this location and then drive me to the apartment. The apartment is absolutely lovely and spotless. Italian charm at its best! If you like to cook, unlike most apartments, this apartment is fully equipped and has all of the cooking utensils you need to make meals at home. The little garden is wonderful and you have it all to yourself! Great place to relax in the sun or have a glass of wine at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience the Italian lifestyle yet close enough to all of the action within the walls. A+

Delightful garden

Lovely apartment with garden which is unheard of in San G. Very clean and plenty of room to spread out which was great after being in tight hotel rooms. Free parking and washing machine a bonus. Cristina was delightful, and answered all our questions.

Great Place!

The apartment had everything you would need or want in a one bedroom vacation spot. Honestly, the apartment was better than what the pictures presented. Air conditioner worked great, plenty of room for luggage, and very well furnished. A true classy apartment. In addition, the garden was wonderful.The only thing missing was a view of the surrounding landscape. But that was not an issue for us as you get to see that view all day while walking around the town. Would definitely stay again if I had the opportunity. Thanks again for everything!

Quaint Apartment

Great place for two. Some of the space is hard to use, but the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen were great for 2. The outdoor area was great; private but no view. Laundry was great to have. Proximity to everything in San Gimignano is fantastic. Host provided lots of information on the town. Restaurants were very good and the styles varied. It was a relaxing week and we did not feel the need to jump in the car to do tourist sightseeing. Plenty to do in and around town including wine tasting.

Superb apartment in a superb location in a wonderful town

I thought the previous reviews showed this place to be great - but it was better! Mario and his daughter Cristina are lovely people and couldn't do more to welcome you and help you. Apartment is really well equipped, the garden is beautiful, and you are only a 100 metres from the main piazza We'll be back next year.

Excellent apartment

This is one of the most amazing apartments we've rented. Mario and Cristina provided a smooth, efficient check in. The apartment is full of historic character and very close to the historic centre of San Gimignano. It's clean, cool and has many extras provided. The garden is amazing and we loved the resident tortoise ( he loved our tomato). I can only unreservedly recommend this apartment and just hope it's available next time we visit San Gimignano. Just wish we could have stayed longer than 3 days. Thank you Mario and Cristina , we loved our stay.
