Holiday Prato Verde, is situated in Chiatri Puccini, a small town on the hills surrounding Lucca , in Tuscany.
Our family manage the restaurant Prato Verde for over Sixty years and in 2000 we have realized a summer residence to offer an holiday characterized by cordiality and hospitality that always has distinguished us.
We give the maximum attention to the guest's needs without ignoring their comfort.
The special position offers a spectacular and unique view: northeasterly there are the Appennines, in the south east there are Pisa and Livorno, in the west the Massaciuccoli Lake , the Viareggio coast and Forte Dei Marmi.
You can admire this panoramic view lying down comfortably on the swimming pool edge or when you are on the flat's terraces that are surrounded by olives and woods to have a fresh and windy climate also in the summer.
Holiday Prato Verde is situated in a peaceful oasis but in a few minutes you can reach some famous seaside resorts (Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore, Torre del Lago, Forte dei Marmi and Lerici).
You can rent only the apartment Gelsomino or Gelsomino with the room Giglio. You should contact the owner to rent the extra room Giglio
Gelsomino is composed double bed, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen , sofa bed, terrcae and garden where you can eat and relax. Upstairs with independent entrance there is the room Giglio. It is composed a double bedroom, bathroom with shower and two big terrace where you can see a wonderful view.
The apartment Gelsomino has a gazebo, terrace, garden, satellite TV, WI FI, private parking, barbecue and laundromat It is located a 15 minutes drive from Lucca and Viareggio.
Guests have the possibility to use the swimming pool provided with a sterilization system by salt ( without the use of chlorine) and a large solarium.
It also offers spaces for children's games and a large park surrounding the property that creates a serenity oasis giving the possibility to go for a walk in the nature.
An ideal place for families holidays where they can find open and safe places for their children.
You can also reach in a few minutes the city of Lucca where it's possible to observe Roman, Medieval and Renaissance testimonies.
Not too far there are cities of historical, cultural and tourist's interest (Pisa, Viareggio, Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Barga, Castelnuovo Garfagnana, Florence, Siena and San Gimignano).

Ruhige Oase in der Toskana

Maria und Ihre Familie sind so herzlich.Die Küche ist ganz toll bestückt,von der Kaffeemaschine bis zum Sandwitch-Toster und reichlich Geschirr.Empfehlenswert ist ihr Restaurant gleich nebenan.Vorallem sollte man Dienstags bei der Giro-Pizza babei sein.Wir kommen sicher wieder.Danke für alles.

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Die wohnungen und der Pool, die Aussicht sind eine Reise Wert und das Restaurant kann man wirklich empfehlen. Es ist alles möglich - Sightseeing, Poolurlaub und Strandurlaub.

Der Urlaub bei Mara war einfach traumhaft. Die Aussicht war toll, Mara war sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen in ihrem Restaurant einfach nur lecker! Wir kommen wieder!

Tolle Apartment-Anlage in wunderschöner Lage!

In wunderschöner Lage liegt diese Apartment-Anlage in den Hügeln bei Lucca, man kann bis Pisa und Viareggio über alles hinweg sehen. Das Apartment war sehr sauber, alles vorhanden, was man brauchte. Einziger Nachteil ist, das alles sehr hellhörig war.

Beautiful peaceful holiday, wonderful hospitality

The location is magical, incredible 360 views, with a sense of restful calm. The appartment was small but perfectly adequate and cleverly laid out, maximising both indoor and outdoor space. We were met on arrival with a warm reception at the family restaurant next door, with amazing antipasti. There were some useful utensils missing from the kitchen, however Mara and her sister Laura were more than happy to help us out at any time. The pool, although chilly in April, had spectacular views over the coast. Having a car was absolutely essential given the hilltop location, but it was an easy drive into Lucca, from where we could get trains to nearby cities like Florence for the day. Driving up into the hills to Barga is well worth it too. Thoroughy enjoyed our week here, and highly recommend it.

Tolle Lage, nette Menschen, sehr guter Service, nettes Appartement, jedoch war es nicht wie ausdrücklich zugesagt ruhig. Unter Tags bellte der Hund der Nachbarschaft ständig (ich habe selber einen Hund). Nicht nur ich m, sondern auch die Mitbewohner sind regelrecht vor der Lärmbelästigung geflohen. Dass der Pool nicht beheizt war störte mich weniger. Schade! Hätte wirklich sehr schön sein können... Wenn das Gebell nicht wäre würde ich wiederkommen

Ici tout et tout le monde est merveilleux ! Excellent séjour. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Nous aurions aimé trouver quelque chose de mauvais à dire afin d'être sûrs d'avoir de la place l'année prochaine, mais tout était parfait ! Les gens sont gentils, l'appartement est Tip top, la piscine est extraordinaire, la vue est sublime, les plats sont fabuleux, la proximité des lieux à visiter est appréciable... Ici règnent paix, tranquillité, sérénité. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, nous recommandons cet endroit les yeux fermés. Même le chien de la famille est adorable ! Merci à Mara et sa famille !!

Très bon séjour/Very good stay near Lucca

Very good place where we stayed 2 weeks. Very good service level, clean, lovely site. It was very nice holidays. We'd like to return to Pratoverde ! Accueillis à notre arrivée par la famille Angeli, avec un "appetizer" pour nous mettre immédiatement à l'heure Toscane, nous avons passé 2 semaines au calme, relaxantes. A proximité de Lucques (~20 minutes) , Pise (~30 minutes), nous avons pu aussi parcourir la Toscane vers les carrières de marbre de Carrara, ainsi que Sienne, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano... La résidence est située sur les hauteurs des collines de Chiatri, avec une superbe vue sur les montagnes (Alpes Apuanes) d'un côté, et la mer de l'autre (double terrasse). Possibilité de petit-déjeuner, déjeuner et dîner au restaurant de la famille. Le petit-déjeuner est énorme !! La résidence et les abords sont très propres et très bien entretenus. La (grande) piscine jouxte la résidence. Le tout entouré des Oliviers de l'exploitation de la famille. Mara et toute sa famille ont été à l'écoute de toutes nos questions. A peine revenus de vacances, on repartirait bien à PratoVerde.

At the first meeting we knew we had made a good choice. Such a warm and friendly greeting, Lara and Mara (and Mum) looked after us brilliantly The accommodation is excellent and the food is the best you will get. Cooked to order and so fresh we ate in their restaurant every night. The prices are so reasonable. Thanks again ladies we will be back Regards

very nice!!

On our late arrival we first almost died because of the danger drive up on the hill to get to the apartment (use your horn before the curves!) but it only needed some days to became accustomed to that little route. It's helpful to put not only Via Vecchia in your navigation (as there are too many via vecchias there!). I think our navigation system found the street "via per chiatri vecchia" (or try "via per Monte di Chiatri Puccini" as the homepage said). When you arrive you'll already know that you will miss this wonderful place and it's view. Mara and her sister were really nice and we had a wonderful time in the little apartment. We used the 12 days for driving through the tuscany as Lucca is the ideal starting point to discover the beautiful cities around there. We started our days always early with the first sunrays and were always back to sleep so we used the apartment mainly for sleeping and showering ;-) Wish we had time for more. Some little critic points here: maybe the mattress of the double bed should be changed as I got almost no sleep there (the couch was better!). Bathroom was ok, kitchen also but it would be nice to have a little more equipment there. An Insider tip here for ice cream lovers: on the road to pisa, firenze or everything else you have to pass by some little villages like mangiano, nave etc.....somewhere after passing the nave-sign have a look at the right sight (when you're coming from the apartment, it's a 15 minutes drive), you'll find a fantastic yoghurt ice cream shop with lot of toppings. Try it! It's the best yoghurt ice you'll get in the region. If you want the best ice cream (not only yoghurt) in whole Europe try Gelateria La Perla which is located between Pisa and Lucca on Via Nuova per Pisa, 1865. Another tip to visit: Arezzo is a beautiful city - you have to drive about 3,5 hours (on country roads if you don't wanna pay for freeways) but the road between Firenze and Arezzo is so much worth it. You won't find more beautiful landscapes! Wish I could return right now as this season (April) is the perfect season to stay in the tuscany (not so many tourists, but firenze and volterra are always full). Thanks again to Mara and her sister and the nice welcome! We will come back some day! The three girls from Germany ;-) P.S. I know I wrote not much about the appartment itself but it's small, clean and has almost everything you'll need - but you have to accept that the next supermarket is 15km away (no problem for us)

Beautiful view and sunsets.

More than we expected. Very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Beautiful views. The meal we made in our cooking class there was the best we had in Tuscany. Mara and her mother taught us and it was fun. Need a car as it is uphill on a winding road. We felt extremely safe. Stayed 6 nights Sept-Oct. From here we visited Pisa, Volterre, Cinque Terre and of course the walled city of Lucca where we rented a tandem bike and road the wall, saw all the attractions within the walls. The welcome tray of appetizers was a special touch and delicious. Will definitely recommend this place and will return if our travels take us back to Lucca.
