The South coast of Rethymno is famous for its beaches to name a few of the most famous and worth visiting of them like Plakias, Damnoni, Sxinaria, Rodakino, Triopertra, Agios Pavlos, Preveli, Agia Galini, which are just 15-30’ minutes away by car.
Plakias, a seaside fish village where you can enjoy, restaurants, cafes, super market, bars, gifts shops, boat trips, etc., as well, organized beaches, is close to the house. When someone drives or lives in South Rethymno, Preveli's Palm Beach is a must, where Kourtaliotiko Gorge (also visitable and gorgeous) meets the Libyan Sea.

You should definitely visit the historic old town of Rethymno, which is about 20km away, where the old houses with the venetian doors and the minarets will take you on a journey through time. A plethora of restaurants, cafes and shops are waiting for you to explore them. At the edge of the old town you can visit Fortezza Castle, where you can enjoy the spectacular view. A stop to the Archeological museum and the Folklore Museum of Rethymno will complete your visit.
