The Lodge is the former gatehouse to Spital House estate. It is all on one level and is bordered by woods on two sides and a large fully enclosed garden to the rear. There is an abundance of wildlife to see from the cottage and the fields to the rear have sheep, lambs and cows throughout the rear.

Peaceful relaxing stay at The Lodge.

Loved our stay, everyone very friendly, had a problem with the Loo which was sorted out straight away, lovely welcome pack on arrival.

Cosy stay

Very comfortable and clean cottage. It had everything we needed and in a lovely, quiet location. The welcome basket of honey and cake was a lovely touch and milk in the fridge. Would definitely stay again.

Boy's weekend

The lodge was excellent, it is situated in a beautiful area. We had a most enjoyable weekend. Although no luck catching fish. We hope to come back, we will be recommending the lodge.

A quiet few days

We spent 4 nights at the Lodge and really enjoyed it. The lodge is in a great location ideal for a quiet time away but still close to towns. everything was nice and clean and well equipped. Liz our host was very helpful with good communication from the start

A special place. Surrounded by fields and woodland at the end of the drive of a grand house. Beautiful setting. Comfortable cottage well equipped.

Outstanding Little Gem

The owners of this property have thought of everything someone might need for a fantastic stay. We wanted a quiet getaway, which we got - and thoroughly enjoyed but we both commented that the location of the lodge is perfect for exploring the local area too. We couldn't fault the accommodation for anything, it's superb, well thought out, and highly recommended!
