Gorgeous and spacious 4-bedroom apartment in the Santo Spirito district, in the trendiest part of the historical center of Florence. Comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests, this luxury accommodation will provide a truly unforgettable Italian experience.



This splendid apartment is located on the first floor of a charming historic building. It was completely renovated in January 2023, retains original elements and has been furnished with modern furniture. It combines high class modern comforts with a relaxed and refined old world ambiance. The apartment is set up as follows:

• 4 large bedrooms, each with a king-size bed.

• 3 splendid bathrooms, all with walk-in showers.



The apartment has a nice balcony overlooking the interior. It is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay, including high speed wireless internet, air conditioning in every room, dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, freezer, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, iron and ironing board, etc.

It was nice to have a washing machine, and there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our large group. Location was close to public transit, which was great! Floors were dirty, no mop or broom. And the kitchen is not well stocked with cooking supplies. There was no really well functioning coffee pot. The one that takes pods did not have a water tank. When I reached out about it they said that there was a moka pot, which there was, and we did use it, however, the stove top is an induction stove top, which is not compatible with that style coffee pot, so we had to use it inside of a normal pot. I also reached out to the host regarding one of the air conditioners, not cooling the space the first day, they had no response about it, but after running for about 12 hours it finally started cooling off the room.

Clean and Comfortable

We were two families with teenage children. The apartment was further away from the city center than what it seemed in booking but the walk was not bad and it was nice staying in a neighborhood instead of with tourists. The apartment was clean and comfortable for our group.

We needed to accommodate 8 people and this apartment’s 4 full bedrooms, 3 baths really helped us to be comfortable for our stay. The air conditioning in all rooms worked great and really helped on these hot days, also it was great that we were able to do laundry in the washing machine and hang it to dry on the large balcony. The check in and check out process went smoothly and the staff were attentive to one request that we made during our stay.The location in Oltrarno is not in the center of Florence but it’s about 25 minutes walk. We liked this because there are nice restaurants and shops that are more authentic/ less touristy.

We have very mixed feelings about this apartment. The apartment was clean and mostly ready for our arrival.On the day of our arrival, we received a message saying that two of the four bedrooms were ready. I had to remind the host that we are four adults renting a four bedroom apartment. Someone did drop off clean linen,but no one offered to make up the rooms or check back in with us.The toaster and coffee maker were not working, but someone replaced them within a reasonable time frame. Prior to our arrival, we received multiple messages to pay a cleaning fee and city tax in cash which would be picked up within a day of our arrival. The listing does not state that we would be expected to leave separate fees. We did not feel comfortable leaving cash on the table and it was not picked up for three days.The apartment is in a nice area, but an extremely busy four lane road with continuous traffic. Very difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Not a place for light sleepers. The pictures are accurate. The rooms are spacious and we appreciated having three bathrooms. Unfortunately, not the place for us.

Issues

The check in process could have been improved. We repeatedly asked for the address and the response was for tenant privacy we could not have it until the last minute. In reality the codes etc. are needed to gain entry so it would,have not been an issue to provide us with the address. The beds and pillows are hard as a rock. It is like camping. The master toilet lid came off during out stay. There was some deferred maintenance. If you are a senior be prepared for a long narrow stairway to truck luggage up that we were not told about.
