A stunning Grade II listed property situated near the green in the popular Norfolk village of Burnham Market, Alice House presents as an authentic window into the past that is just waiting to be discovered. From this convenient yet private location, you are within walking distance of the many independent shops and restaurants, while still only being a short drive away from Holkham, Brancaster and Wells. Three superbly comfortable bedrooms await, each with their own en-suite bathroom.
This beautiful property showcases exposed beams and historic features throughout, yet has been brought bang up to date with modern fixtures and fittings sympathetically included. On the ground floor, there is a relaxing sitting room with a cosy wood burning stove that adds extra warmth and ambient light on chilly evenings; perfect for hunkering down to watch a film together on the Smart television. The well-equipped country kitchen offers ample worktop space and a range-style oven, making it the perfect stage for rustling up a delicious meal made from the areas famed local produce. With a dining table for six, you can enjoy sharing meals and conversation together late into the evenings. From here, there is easy access into the fully enclosed garden.
On the first floor, two of the three thoughtfully styled bedrooms are presented, both of which are served by en-suite facilities. A dual aspect twin room features a window seat overlooking the garden, with a double bed and additional window seat offered in the other bedroom. Presented on the second floor, the charming master suite features a comfortable king-size bed beneath original beams. This delightful room is served by an en-suite bathroom offering a roll top bath and Jack and Jill sinks.
Outside, the private and enclosed garden comprises of a generous amount of lawn that is bordered by mature, attractive planting. Being enclosed, it is the perfect place for children and dogs to play in safety while still being in full view of the house. A patio area has been prepared with a charcoal barbecue, dining table, and six chairs, meaning you can dine al fresco when the sun shines. Adjacent to the garden, there is a gravel driveway that will easily accommodate two cars.
There is a great selection of excellent restaurants are located just a short walk from the front door of Alice House, including modern dining at Socius, rustic and fiery menus at No Twenty9, and the ever popular and traditional The Hoste Arms. For a lighter bite, there is a handful of lovely delis and cafes serving delicious coffee and food. The well-stocked village store is just a minute's walk away, and there is also a petrol station nearby. Norfolk's stunning coastline can be reached in less than ten minutes by car.
