Wonderful stay at cabin lodge

We had such a wonderful stay at blackberry lodge in Chedder Gorge, beautifully clean, very romantic and peaceful, the host was so friendly and warming and we had all the amenities we needed.

Brilliant!

Amanda and Paul are lovely people, we felt very welcome and they helped with everything we needed. The house is absolutely lovely and very clean. Had everything we needed and did lots of cooking. The location is very good, easy access to Wells, Bath, Bristol and Weston Super-mare, which we enjoyed very much with the nice weather. The house is a 10 minute walk from a large reservoir that’s lovely to walk around in the evening and has lots of sheep! Our first holiday was brilliant and we’d definitely book again. Thank you so much Amanda and Paul! :)

Schöne Tage in Cheddar

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Die Lage des Cottages war sehr ruhig und Naturverbunden. Die Erwartungen wurden eingehalten und die Einrichtung ist praktisch und einfach. Hier gilt es aber Möglichkeiten ein bisschen mehr flair zu verbreiten. Sehr gute Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und der Ort bietet alles was man braucht.

Lovely Cabin, very clean, well equipped.

Very pleasant stay in this lovely cabin overlooking trees and greenery. Owner lives nearby in the event of any problems, but we didn't have any issues. Well equipped kitchen area with large fridge freezer and nice en-suite in the bedroom. Plenty of storage space. Can easily walk into Cheddar and also very near to reserviour which makes a pleasant walk.

Perfect little lodge in Cheddar x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the lodge, it has everything you could need for your stay including outdoor table/chairs, sofa and a great little bbq. Comfy bed and lovely shower. Very impressed with the recycling facilities too. We hope to return soon xx

Property was very comfy, homely with everything you need. Close to lots of walking trails and the gorge. All in all a perfect stay.

Excellent location

I’ve been to cheddar quite a few times before, unlike my partner who wished to see the village. She loves the place as much as I do now and to stay in such a beautiful and cosy lodge during our few nights away made it even better. Walking distance from both the centre and cheddar gorge, and only a 3 minute drive to the local shop, the location was fantastic! All this coupled with hosts who met us on arrival and let us know we could contact them if we had any problems made us feel very relaxed. Would definitely recommend to any couples looking to get away for a few nights!

It was the perfect location for all the hikes we did, and short walk into Cheddar but far enough out and the Cheddar madness, a beautiful relaxing location, we hope o visit again.

Excellent accommodation

The lodge was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for a holiday home. Quiet location and perfect position. Five minutes walk from Cheddar Resevoir and 15 minutes walk into Cheddar centre. Amanda was very welcoming by message and phone.

Holiday sep 2020. Beautiful

The lodge was fantastic. Right from booking Amanda was great. Clear instructions and couldn't have been more helpful. The accommodation was 1st class and just perfect for a couple seeking peace and quiet within walkable or short drive to Cheddar. Would certainly recommend and hoping to go back. With all the restrictions this year I was worried but everything was covid safe and had been thought of.

Brilliant lodge

Perfect location to just relax, or visit nearby tourist sites. You can walk into the village centre. The facility itself was clean, modern. Well presented and catered for with fridge, freezer, cooking appliances and equipped. Would definitely visit again.

AWESOME !!!

Myself and my girlfriend absolutely loved staying here. Set in a quiet, peaceful part of cheddar the cabin was clean, modern and spacious with great kitchen facilities, comfy bed & I had a good nights sleep. The owners were friendly, informative and knowledgeable about the local area. I definitely would recommend this to my friends & family. Hope to stay again asap.

Very relaxing stay

We came here for a short couples get away and really enjoyed it. The property was lovely, modern and the bed was so comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly and the town of Cheddar was an easy ten minute stroll away and great for a pub visit in the sunshine! We enjoyed the bbq on the terrace and found the whole weekend really relaxing and enjoyable. Many thanks!

Lovely Little lodge

We had a lovely twixmas break at Blackberry Lodge. Having spoken to Amanda a couple of times we knew exactly where to go and how to get the keys so that was very helpful. The location was great for walking into cheddar or to the reservoir and a good base to visit the surrounding areas. Can highly recommend the Bath Arms pub for food including very good gluten free options if needed.

We were lucky enough to come to Cheddar in 2000 and made it our home.

We love being at the foot of the Mendips for walking, mountain biking and general outdoors activities but also close enough to Bristol and Bath for city life too.
Blackberry Lodge sits on our 2 acre site where we also have a 4 BED, 2 Bathroom property and a 'sister' lodge to Blackberry known as Strawberry Lodge, all 3 are available to holidaymakers.
