Cool Oslo

It was great to find a well-located, comfortable condo with a little bit of cool, in central Oslo. Host Arthur was super-attentive and we enjoyed the local collection of cafes, restaurants and bars.

Artsy Flat in Oslo

Modern two-level, spacious flat with fun artwork. Really enjoyed the extra space for a few days in Oslo. Loved the washer and dryer. Going home with clean clothes!!

This experience was challenging, because the flat we were in was nice, however we had many snags. The first was that the property in this listing is not what we got. They contacted us to rent a similar property in the same location, which we agreed to. I had specifically asked about laundry availability, as this was an important part of our trip. I was assured we would have it. The check in process it a bit laborious if you have been traveling all day- you have to go to a convenience store on the next block to collect the keys. The location of the property is great and central , and plenty spacious for one or two people. However, it is very noise throughout the night - it is a city of course, but somethin to be mindful of as there were loud cars playing music and people shouting most of the night. We arrived with no access to laundry- we were told it had broken the day before, and even though the building also had access to laundry, the previous renter had taken the key so we could not do this. The closest laundry was 30 minutes away, and this was a problem since we had specifically asked for this. The wifi was initially not working but we had to reset router and do a few other things and got it working. Ana who manages the property is in Brasil, so there is no one local to help you. She was very nice and did what she could, but this was not the smoothest process when you are on vacation. The flat itself is nice and had most amenities, and building security is very good.

Centrally located apartment in Oslo

the location could not be better, just five minutes from central station & really close to everything. Really good communications on everything except there was no warning that there is a community fire alarm for the whole building which can be set off by anybody/everybody. So spending 10 minutes frantically trying to find and stop an alarm that cannot be stopped on a Sunday morning at 6 a.m. is not really great…And apparently, according to the other renters this happens a lot. So if you do stay there and wake up at some ungodly hour from a loud blaring sound just know you have to leave the building until it’s been cleared. The building itself is charming and the apartment has some great features (big screen/projector),I know art is personal, and I usually like a bit of creepy art,k but the majority of the art was too creepy. Appreciate that this may be a selling point for some people since art is very personal…but I love art, and there was little to like… The one in the picture (yellow background/clasical statue) is the most likable out of the assortment. In short, this stay could have been better. I wish there would have been warning about the fire alarm and more pictures of the art to know what we’d be looking at for a few days.

This is a lovely small apartment in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The big windows gave us a beautiful view of the city, and we liked the loft bed. The owners are great communicators. We highly recommend!
