River and country views & woodburner at ‘The Nest’
The property is located in Burrowbridge, which is a small village approximately 15 minutes from both Taunton and Bridgwater and 20 minutes from Glastonbury.
You have a fridge, microwave, air fryer and portable grill in the kitchenette should you want to take advantage of the self-catering option. We are lucky to be a short 8 minute river walk from the local pub - the King Alfred. The pub has a reputation for great food and a welcoming atmosphere. The property backs onto the River Tone with direct access via a side garden gate which means you can walk for miles directly from the property. You will see an abundance of wildlife including woodpeckers, white doves and a wide range of garden birds. You can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunset during your stay - should you be lucky with the British weather! The area is renowned for walking, cycling and fishing. You will have your own parking space at ‘The Nest' and there is free wifi throughout the property. We are a pet friendly property and would love to meet our furry guests.

Cannot fault this lovely property right on the banks of the river! We stayed a week at the Nest. It is more spacious than it appears. It is beautifully appointed with stylish decor and a sumptuously comfortable bed. There is a good size lounge and dining area with log fire, to cosy up and read a book. There is also another lounge area with a TV, a small perfectly formed bathroom with bath and a kitchenette. Nic and Hannah are wonderful and caring hosts. There is a beautiful garden at the property that attracts a fabulous array of birds, including a Kingfisher which was a delight. The rear of the property has a deck where you can sit with a G + T overlooking the river to watch the sun go down. The hosts have thought of everything and have included many thoughtful touches. Off a quiet road and close to a good village pub serving quality meals. We cannot recommend it enough and will be back! Thank you Nic and Hannah for such a wonderful stay:-)
I would totally recommend this lovely venue. The owners have thought of everything to make guests (both two and four footed) comfortable and relaxed. Dogs have the run of the garden and there is access from this on to the riverside footpath and miles of walking thereafter. I used The Nest as a base to visit friends and explore the area. Absolutely ideal.
Really clean and beautiful property and our hosts were great; clear check in instructions and little touches to make our stay special. Superb location for The Levels and we had a very relaxing weekend.
We loved staying in the Nest, it was very coasy and comfortable, it had a very homely feell and a beautiful garden. Its a great location for many lovely trips and walks. It was everything we hoped for.
Very clean, furnished beautifully. Great location for walks, for staying back and reading a book and for a short walk to a pub with lovely food and the biggest menu ever seen! Lots to do within short travel. We enjoyed an afternoon on the canal boating. Has a lovely pub/restaurant and there was a pop up food van. Ventured to Glastonbury, always an experience. Would love to go back again.

I can not stress enough just how amazing The Nest is.I had a fantastic and peacefull stay in such an idealic situation. The accomadation was spotless and so homely. The grounds and gardens are amazing, full of birds and they was the only sound i heard during my stay.Walk to the rear of the building and there is a lovley river which you can amble along. The hostes are so nice and provided me with fresh free layed eggs, cookies and milk on my arrival and the personal note left in The Nest for me was a really nice touch! I can not wait to book and return. An amazing 10 out of 10 from me.
We absolutely loved our stay at "The Nest'Hannah & Nic were fantastic hosts, veryfriendly and helpful.
The accomodation was very clean, comfortable & in a great location. It was right by the river with a beautiful garden & just a short walk to a local pub. Lots of great places to visit nearby.
We go away a lot and usually book this kind of accommodation and this was the best place weve stayed in a long while. Would highly recommend.
Our stay at The Nest exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, beautifully furnished, comfortable and cozy. The hosts were helpful with anything we needed and we felt warmly welcomed. We had access to the garden and deck overlooking the river and peaceful views. The local pub served delicous food and was just a short country walk away. We can highly recommend a stay at The Nest.
