3 night stay available for May Bank Holidays. Our beautiful country cottage is full of family treasures with 2 log burning stoves & a large level private garden with a summerhouse, swing and hammock for lazy summer afternoons...
The cottage has been in our family for over 45 years and offers a unique stay in a real home, rather than a holiday home aesthetic.
It has been featured in Period Living & Homes and Gardens magazines.
It's set in a quiet hamlet surrounded by rolling hills with plentiful walks & local pubs to enjoy. There are numerous quintessential market towns within easy reach and the Jurassic coast is within an hours drive away...
The WIFI is also great making it an ideal spot for a longer term work/stay.

Nothing short of idyllic - Vintage charm and Cosy Interiors
Our Christmas week at 3 Mafeking Terrace was nothing short of idyllic. Nestled in the picturesque village of Woolland in Dorset, the cottage's vintage charm and cosy interiors, complete with warm log fires and a well-stocked kitchen, provided a perfect festive retreat. The warm, inviting atmosphere was enhanced by the scenic countryside, offering a tranquil backdrop for a truly relaxing holiday.
The cottage balanced rustic appeal with modern comforts, making it an ideal getaway. From the nostalgic decor to the serene surroundings, our stay was a delightful experience that left us refreshed and full of cherished memories.
We had a varied age range from 5 - 70 years and it met the needs of everyone. The beautiful garden was a wonderful place for the children to play whilst also being a delightful spot to sit and drink a cup of tea and soak in the countryside.
We can't wait to visit again.

I live in Bath and manage this property for my family. I also have my own property in Bath listed on vrbo. I really enjoy welcoming guests to the properties and making sure their holidays run smoothly and they get to enjoy the local area with our recommendations and tips
Why they chose this property
The cottage has been in my family for 50 years now, and been visited and enjoyed by family members and friends over this time. It is is now rented out for the holidays periods. Blackmore Vale is a beautiful very unspoilt area of Dorset with easy access to the Jurassic coast and amazing inland walks as well as great local towns and lots of foodie highlights
What makes this property unique
Quite and peaceful Lovely large private garden for lazy summer holidays, hamock, bbq, swing and summerhouse Not a typical holiday home feel to it. Full of family vintage finds gathered over the years with an authentic lived in feel..
