Location

From the apartment’s excellent location, Laveno-Mombello’s lakefront, top attractions and popular activities are just minutes away. The picturesque lakefront promenade is reachable in a 5-minute walk and offers a series of lakefront cafes and restaurants. The village is also an excellent base to explore Lake Maggiore and the city of Varese as the Port of Laveno links to all the major destinations on Lake Maggiore (a 2-minute walk away) and the train is inbound to Varese (a 5-minute walk). The house is also just a 5-minute walk from the ferry landing stage that takes you to Intra on the Piemontese side of the lake.

In the centre of Laveno-Mombello, a great range of shops and restaurants can be enjoyed, alongside a frequent car passenger ferry service to the western shore hotspots of Verbania (for fine dining and historical sites), Intra (for reaching the Stresa Borromean Island boat tours) and Pallanza (for reaching the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto). All stops take around just 20 minutes to reach by ferry. The iconic Santa Caterina del Sasso hermitage is just a 10-minute drive away. Meanwhile, adventure seekers can embark on a scenic cable car ride to the summit of Sasso del Ferro, a breathtaking vantage point overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains, just a short 10-minute drive away.
