Quality furnished apartment close to beach & village. The large 28 sq.m. elevated veranda features a built-in BBQ with outdoor furniture and views over Burgau village, and the Monchique mountains in the distance. There are 2 bedrooms, one double, one twin. The double, master bedroom has an En-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath/shower. The second bathroom enjoys a NEW, double-size walk in shower - both bathrooms enjoying under-floor heating. Every room leads onto the sunny south-east facing balcony, and there is also air-conditioning throughout the apartment.

The lounge features the latest 37' LED TV with most UK TV channels, all SKY Sports, F1 and Golf, and also BT Sports channels. Most European channels also included(DE, FR, PT, NL, BE, SW).plus DVD, Bluetooth speaker.

We offer a broadband connection enabling Wi-Fi within the apartment, which is included in the rental price.

Part of the 4-star Domusiberica complex, set in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with its own exclusive outdoor communal pool, and a separate children's splash pool.

Adjoining the pools is a large, fenced, lawn area ideal for ball games and for children to play in safety. The complex is situated on the edge of the village overlooking the beach and adjacent to the National park.

Take a short 2 minutes stroll into the delightful fishing village of Burgau and a further 3 mins down the cobbled streets to the beach. Burgau has a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and bars; whilst also having a BLUE FLAG beach of clean white sand.

Burgau is easy to reach from Faro airport, taking just under a hour on the A22 motorway. Car hire is very reasonable and enables exploration of the area. For a really relaxing holiday arrive by Taxibus. The village is self contained with small shops, food stores and restaurants so a car is not necessary. There is also a small farmers market most days with fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. Lagos is only a short journey away, and the bus service is very good, and taxis reasonably priced.

Monchique is a breathtaking rural town, just 20 minutes inland from Portimao on Portugal’s Algarve Coast. Caldas de Monchique is a charming centuries-old spa town - wonderfully peaceful, ideal to enjoy walks and picnics.

Slide and Splash at Lagoa is the nearest water park for the children, and Zoomarine at Guia (near Albufeira),though a little further away, (forty minute drive) is a great family day out - take swimsuits (there are pools as well).
Heading west towards Sagres and further on, are the more exposed beaches of the western Atlantic coast, including beautiful Amado and slightly more deserted Bordeira, with their great surfing conditions.

Great location with access to main roads and beaches with lots of parking but also walking distance to the village for shopping and dining. Loved the veranda for the sunrises and evening cocktails.

Relaxing, friendly village.

Enjoyed our stay in Burgau for the 4th time. Greta beach, restaurants close by and local grocery stores. Would recommend!

Very well appointed apartment close to beach and great town

The property was to a very high standard with lots of space and everything you need. We loved to sit on the very large balcony for breakfast and throughout the day, Bergau was less than five minutes walk away with a terrific selection of restaurants serving great food and a great beach, It was easy to drive to many local towns with lots of things to do. The property owner and property manager were both very responsive and helpful.

The apartment was great. Everything was like it was in the offer. Very close to the beach and restaurants. The contact with the manager and owner was very good. We spent beautiful holiday there.

Great place to stay.

The pictures were great, but Steve and Mandys Appartment was even better.... We had a warm welcome from Ana who is the local contact and had a wonderful week in the tiny village of Burgau. Not too busy but nice places for dinner and a nice Beach bar. Rental car is a good possibility to explore the surrounding. We will come back!!!

First class apartment

Thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay at this very comfortable apartment. Truly a home from home. Very clean and well furnished and equipped. Quiet and peaceful with a lovely view from all the rooms and the balcony across the fields to the village. Just a short walk to the village shops and restaurants and the beautiful beach . We love Burgau and are returning to this apartment next September.

Excellent

Beautifully maintained apartment just on the edge of Burgau. The apartment is very well equipped but could do with a step stool in the kitchen to reach the cupboards. The apartment is east facing so the terrace only has sun in the morning but there is use of the pool and loungers in the Nova Bar at the end of the road. Easy access to the lovely bars and restaurants in Burgau and the beautiful beach. Would book again.

My wife & I spent 6 enjoyable weeks in Steve & Mandy's cozy apartment in Burgau. A perfect location for us, with a spacious deck facing east and the neighbouring Burgeau hamlet. Ana welcomed us, and was there when needed (only to fix the tv for us technically challenged), and the cleaning staff did a fantastic job each Wed. that was very much appreciated!! The beach and restaurants are a short walk from the apartment, so that was a daily routine for us. We would definitely return. Thank you Steve & Mandy. Pete & Bonnie

The apartment was very clean, well laid out with a large balcony and very comfy beds. We were glad to have the air con during the hot weather. We didn’t meet anyone from the management company and couldn’t find the reception when we needed to explain a breakage. The pool was very disappointing; run down, dirty and with not enough umbrellas and that really lets the apartment down. But the local beach was beautiful and so we spent most of our time there.

The Best Holiday apt. ever!

This was easily the best holiday rental we have ever had; everything in the apartment was in good condition and it was in good decorative order. Both bathrooms are large and very modern, with a very large shower in one, and a very good shower over a jacuzzi bath in the other. The girls in the party loved them. I loved the balcony which must be 30' long and faces east; great for eating breakfast on. The built in bbq was great for cooking dinner at home. There are two ladies who look after the apartment, who both speak good English, and they are very friendly and helpful. A great base from which to explore the west Algarve from Cape St. Vincent to Portimau. We shall return!

Tolle, großzügige Ferienwohnung, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß vom Strand und zu den Restaurants und Geschäften im Ort entfernt. Alles ist sehr sauber und in gutem Zustand. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter Steve und dem Verwalter Joao war hervorragend.Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub hier und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Perfektes Urlaubsdomizil

Uns hat die Wohnung in unserem Urlaub im Juni sehr gut gefallen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer war zügig und nett. Der Empfang durch die Verwaltung war pünktlich und einfach. Sehr gut war auch die wöchentliche Zwischenreinigung durch den Service. Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben und liegt am Rand von Burgau. Zum Zentrum und den zahlreichen Restaurants sind es 10 entspannte Gehminuten. Der große Balkon ist komplett überdacht und wir hatten einen guten Ausblick auf Burgau und die weite Gegend. Der Pool bot uns zwischendurch eine gute Möglichkeit zur Entspannung und Abkühlung. Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen.

I 5 ud af de 8 dage vi var der, var overboen i gang med at ombygge badeværelse (tror vi). for der var larm af borehammere, maskinmejsler mv. Trods klager til ejeren fortsatte det. Udsigten fra den store og gode altan var ødelagt af skrammel, nedrivningsmodne bygninger og store jordbunker, som dagligt blev tilføjet. Poolen var aldeles ikke forbundet med lejligheden, men lå bag ved en restaurant på den anden side af vejen vest på. Der var gratis adgang (gennem restauranten) men poolen og området var nedslidt og ringe vedligeholdt. Lejligheden sig selv var stor og veldisponeret, men mangledede en del til husholdingen; Ingen kaffekopper, meget få gafler og virkede noget bedaget. Store sætningsrevner i stuen og det ene badeværelse. Byen Burgau tilbyder en del restauranter og en god ren strand, som man dog skal via en omvej på 7 minutter for at nå. Mange af dagene var vandet trods udmærket temperatur for voldsomt for os og den benyttes da også af mange surfere. Byen virker som om den har sin fremtid bag sig. Vi kommer ikke igen.

O apartamento é muito confortável e fica relativamente perto da praia de Burgau, a pé. Fica também a 5 min de carro de outras maravilhosas praias nas redondezas.

Wonderful

We had a great time at Steve’s apartment and we loved the welcome package with bread, ham, cheese milk and juice. Even a bottle of wine was there: thanks a lot Steve! Our kids loved the pool and we loved the breakfast at the balcony with this great view! We would really like to come back

From waking in the morning to bright sunshine in the bedroom (if preferred!), walking to the village baker for the fresh bread ( the smell alone evoking marvellous memories), enjoying breakfast on the veranda, and later enjoying a wine in the evening, reflecting on the day, while the sun basks the village as it slowly sets - Perfect!
