Nestled on the edge of the market town of Pickering, Dove Cottage is a spacious, dog friendly holiday home. You’ll have full access to the property during your stay which includes a welcoming living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining area, two bedrooms and family bathroom. Central to all of North Yorkshire’s attractions, this charming property boasts private parking and a garden with furniture. Dove Cottage is perfect for family staycations, romantic retreats and getaways with friends.

The Space:
Upon entering the property, you’ll be welcomed into the light and airy kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features modern appliances and cookware so you can make the most of your self-catering stay. You’ll also find a dining table with four leather chairs.

Perfect for socialising and relaxing, the living room includes two comfy sofas, an LPG fireplace, and a flat screen TV. Traditional in style, it is ultra cosy and in perfect keeping with the nature of the cottage.

You’ll find two bedrooms and a family bathroom at Dove Cottage. Both bedrooms boast comfortable super king size beds, a chest of drawers and bedside tables with lamps. There are also neutral colour schemes in both rooms to create a tranquil feel.

Clean and modern, the bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and basin. A separate WC can also be found inside the property.

Outside you'll find a private, enclosed garden. Perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying alfresco meals during your stay, you can relax at the outdoor dining area.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Dove Cottage are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available for 2 to 3 vehicles.

One well behaved dog is welcome to stay at Dove Cottage per reservation.

Both beds are zip & link so can be split into two singles upon request.

Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited at Dove Cottage.

CCTV is installed at Dove Cottage for the protection of guests and the property.

The Neighborhood:
Dove Cottage is situated in a peaceful location on the edge of the market town of Pickering. The thriving town has plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars so you won’t tire of things to do. Explore Pickering Castle which is packed with a rich history dating back to the 12th century.

Enjoy a walk on the iconic Cleveland Way, or head to Dalby Forest where you can explore the tranquil woodland trails on foot or by bike. This is a very popular spot for mountain bikers after all. Prefer to push yourself to the extreme? Go Ape Adventure Centre is for you!

From the beautiful North York Moors National Park, to the expansive Great Yorkshire Forest and finally the delightful North Yorkshire coast, Pickering is ideally situated where you can experience everything the county has to offer.

The village of Kirby Misperton is home to Flamingo Land Resort, Yorkshire's ultimate theme park.

Getting Around:
Pickering has great bus routes with journeys to York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Whitby, Scarborough and Leeds.

The nearest mainline railway station can be found eight miles away in Malton with routes to Scarborough, Manchester and Liverpool amongst others.

Dove Cottage is located just a short drive from Pickering Rail Station where you can experience the infamous North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The station is a must see with a 1930s theme, so you’ll be transported back in time to the steam era. From here, you can travel to popular destinations such as Whitby, Grosmont and Goathland.
