Villa Biddizza is a delightful little villa set within a residential and agricultural area on the Ionian coast. The villa, built in the 70s, is surrounded by a large garden with a lawn dotted with colourful fragrant flowers, palms and old trees. Beyond the garden near the villa, the terrain extends to a cultivation of citrus fruits. The paving and part of the walls are in lava stone, typical of this Etna area. The fully air-conditioned villa has three floors connected by both internal stairs and a handy lift. The ground floor includes the living area with dining room and lounge furnished with antique mahogany furniture, velvet sofas and rich curtains that confer an elegant, traditional and, at the same time, convivial air. The veranda is accessed both from the living room and from the large, bright livable kitchen, creating a continuum between the exterior and the interior. The veranda, composed of the outdoor dining area and a relaxation area, has windows that can be opened or remain closed as it is air-conditioned. Set in the lawned garden is the beautiful swimming pool, just a few metres from the villa, in a slightly secluded position where there will be plenty of opportunities to unwind and have fun, thanks to various relaxation spots and the dining area completed by a barbecue. The villa is located a few minutes by car from delightful seaside towns such as Capomulini, Aci Trezza and Aci Castello with their promenades full of restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours and fully-equipped beaches. A bit further away is Acireale, full of churches and palaces to visit as well as numerous excellent quality bars and restaurants. Taormina, a hilltop town of unquestionable beauty with breathtaking views from every angle and a wide choice of elegant shops and restaurants is less than an hour away. The beaches of Taormina include the bays of Mazzarò and Isola Bella while sandy beaches can be found in Giardini Naxos.
Interior:
Villa Biddizza consists of the main villa and an annex . VILLA. The main villa has three floors. The main entrance, reached up a flight of stairs, opens onto the living room with dining area and sitting area. The living area leads to the spacious kitchen and to a bedroom with balcony and private bathroom with shower. On the same floor is also a guest bathroom and the large veranda, accessible from both the kitchen and the living room, from where a majestic staircase leads to the upper floor with two double bedrooms, both with a small balcony with a view of Mount Etna and which share a bathroom with tub. Also on this floor is a loft area that can be used as a studio or meditation room. From the veranda on the ground floor, a staircase leads down to the lower floor with a mini-apartment divided into two areas: a living area with kitchenette, dining area and relaxation area and a sleeping area with double bed served by a bathroom with shower. French windows in these two areas lead directly out to the garden. In addition to the stairs, the three floors are also connected by a lift. ANNEX. It is located just a few meters from the villa and consists of a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower (no bidet)
Park:
The garden stretches around the villa with a lawn dotted with colourful and fragrant blooms such as bougainvillea and jasmine, bushes of hydrangea and wisteria, laurel and rosemary. However, most of the terrain, along the outer perimeter, is cultivated with citrus fruits, in particular lemons. To the side of the villa between the kitchen and the garden is a spacious veranda containing the dining area and a small relaxation area. The veranda is protected by large windows which can be opened in fine weather; however, as it is equipped with air conditioning, you may prefer to opt for closed windows. The veranda leads to the garden where the mobile barbecue is conveniently located near the outdoor dining area and the kitchen. A few metres past the automatic gate, reached directly from the access road, a drive leads to an uncovered private parking area.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located at the back of the villa, on the same level as the ground floor which is about 100 m away. Rectangular and measuring 10 x 5 m with the depth ranging from 1 to 2.,40 m, the pool is lined in PVC and has chlorine purification, internal lighting, a diving board and a metal ladder for access to the water. The pool is bordered by terracotta paving and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas; beyond the paved side is a lawn bordered by flowers, with a hammock in the shade of an olive tree and an adjacent zone with a small relaxation area. Nearby is a cold-water outdoor shower and an exercise bike. Thanks to the internal lighting, the pool can also be used at night and is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
Pets: Yes, up to medium size. € 50,00 per week or part of week per animal.
Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
