Popular local events include Carnival Week held during early August, when you can enjoy all the fun of the fair and the 1940s celebration weekend held in mid-September.

For the brave is the New Year’s Day sea swim, when you can participate in a bracing swim or paddle, to celebrate the brand New Year.
