We had a difficult time checking in. It was very complicated since we arrived a bit later than anticipated. Finally they sent someone but this person only spoke Russian so it was difficult to communicate with them but they led us to the place. That was tough. However, we LOVED the place. There was lots of room for the 4 of us. Amazing big kitchen for cooking. Loved the balcony where we spend time when it wasn't raining. Nice sitting area but watch your head on the low beams. Recommend but they need to improve the check in process.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Traveled half way around the world to get stood up by this host. It was a nightmare. Attempted to contact host several times throughout the day, as no arrival instructions were given ahead of time, and received absolutely no response. Had to contact VRBO agent to get host on phone and he rudely told us not to call him but gave a number for “some lady around the corner who would come meet us to let us in.” When attempting to call this number numerous times we heard “this number is no longer in service.” What a scam. Spent quite some time trying to find a place to stay at 10:00 at night, on Norways busiest holiday of the year. Luckily some locals helped us find somewhere to go so my sweet momma didn’t have to sleep on the street. It was a truly devastating experience and sure hope they are no longer allowed to do business on VRBO. Shame on you Rolf…if that’s even your name. Apartment building looked really rough too!!!!

Bergen Apartment

This is a great apartment in Bergen. Very convenient yet very quiet. My biggest complaint is the website says there is a clothes dryer. THERE IS NOT A CLOTHES DRYER IN THE APARTMENT!!! We thought there was a washer/dryer combination but it turned out to only be a washer. No directions were available in English but we googled the model and found directions online. We would not have stayed here if we had known there wasn't a dryer in the apartment but we managed. Ever dry clothes with a hair dryer??? Rolf said he was going to update the website and remove the dryer. I didn't check it but I know it was still on there the day we departed. It's a really nice flat and if you can go with a clothes dryer, this is a great place to stay in Bergen. Also, there is a small grocery store steps away which was a really nice convenience. Check in was a little confusing but it all worked out.

Fantastic spot for May 17 or any visit to Bergen

Well appointed apartment on the second floor, overlooking the street with a nice bay window. Far enough away from harbor and tourist noise but very close to Sentrum. Rate to find two bedroom and two baths with nice kitchen, living room. Steps to grocery store (Rena 1000), several nice bakeries (Baker Brun), fine dining (Spisekroken, Pinnochio). Check in was a text to host who sent a man to meet us at the door. That worked ok. Beds comfy. It would be nice to have ice trays to make ice for drinks, and soap/shampoo. These were lacking. All in all a great stay and would repeat.
