Tucked into the southern coastal landscape of the island, Mayeia Villas provide a serene retreat for recharging in Crete. These impressive holiday villas are situated in the area of Plakias, in a beneficial location, just minutes away from the homonymous long sandy beach (just 250 meters) as well as all kinds of daily amenities, so our guests can enjoy a car free holiday.
Mayeia Villas consists of two buildings: one featuring 3 bedrooms and another with 2 bedrooms, available for rent separately or together. This listing is specifically for the 3-bedroom building. Please note that, when booked separately, the villas share the same entrance and parking area. Otherwise, each villa is completely autonomous.
The villa is designed to accommodate up to 8 guests and the interior covers 150 sq.m.. Each one of the 3 en-suite bedrooms is a minimalist haven from the harsh sun with clean aesthetic featuring a king size double bed (1,60 X 2,00) equipped with high quality DUNLOPILLO mattress and pillows, suitcase stand, open wardrobe, 32 TV, A/C and en-suite bathroom consisted of a shower cabin, washing basin and toilet. The villa is comprised of three levels, connected by a central staircase, featuring one bedroom on each level.
Furthermore, the careful selection of earthly colours, natural materials, branded furniture (Flos, Baxter, Classicon, al2, Talenti, Davide Groppi, Paola Lenti, Nemo lighs), minimal design and bohemian chic decoration of Villa Mayeia offer its guests a sense of luxury, harmony and tranquility while its clean lines create a contemporary silhouette.


Layout
On the ground floor, guests find themselves in a cosy, open plan area with a 50 HDTV, energy wood burning fireplace and portable JBL bluetooth speaker. Additionally, a full kitchen, equipped with high quality, built-in appliances provides all necessary equipment for a self catered holiday, including an island counter, an upper counter oven with induction hobs, large fridge with freezer and even a wine cooler. An indoor dining area with benches is also available and the kitchen also offers outdoor access to the BBQ area. The bedroom on this level also offers a built-in sofa with a top mattress that can accommodate one guest.
Stairs lead from the ground floor to the lower level, where you can find one more bedroom, offering a sofa chair that can be used as a single bed and accommodate one guest, balcony and direct outdoor access. Finally, a laundry room with a washer and a dryer exists on this level.
The master suite on the first floor retains the openness characteristic of the rest of the villa, offering access to a spacious veranda equipped with cozy bean bag chairs overlooking the pool and outdoor area. A second large veranda featuring a wooden sauna is also accessible from the first floor, enjoying beautiful views of the area and offering an additional sitting area, ideal to enjoy the sunset.

To make things even better, the outdoor spaces of Villa Mayeia are designed to offer relaxation and the outdoor facilities include:
- A 35 sq. m. private swimming pool, 1,50m deep, that can also be heated for the entire stay with an additional daily charge upon advance request.
- A beautiful, wooden, outdoor sauna for 6 people, with beautiful sea views on the first floor veranda.
-Outdoor dining area with comfortable sofas under the shade of a pergola.
- Two spacious verandas on the first floor, assorted with comfortable bean bag chairs.

Villa Mayeia is located just 250 metres on foot from the famous sandy beach of Plakias.
Originally a very small and quiet fishing village, Plakias town has become a renowned tourist resort now providing all the facilities our guests would wish for a self-catering holiday. Within walking distance you can find from supermarkets and bakeries, including a very wide range of products local and traditional goods, to a post office, a variety of tavernas, cafes, bars, ATMs, doctors office and souvenir shops. While it has grown in size over the years, it still retains its special charm that draws many visitors back again, year after year.
Accessed by the magnificent Kotsifou and Kourtaliotiko Gorges, the village of Plakias is set towards the centre of a large bay enclosed within the arms of mountains. Sellia and Mirthios mountain villages are nearby with traditional restaurants with spectacular views of the sea, surrounding hills and Plakias bay.
Close to Plakias and our Villa, you will find numerous amazing natural beaches in the whole Greece, such as the palm beach of Preveli, Triopetra, Agios Pavlos, Ammoudi, Damnoni, Schinaria and Souda. Those beaches are famous for their crystal clear blue waters and attract many visitors as well as locals from around the island. Also, you can experience some wonderful activities, like horse riding on the beach, scuba diving, trekking and water sports (at Damnoni beach).
