Spectacular sea views and salt water swimming pool on Capri

La Terrazza is a holiday villa set in the grounds of a stunning extensive Capri property. It is in Anacapri on the western side of the island and is ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet and also spectacular sea views, a place to relax after sight seeing or your own private corner where you can unwind and sit by the large swimming pool.
La Terrazza is completely independent and private and is surrounded by an extensive Mediterranean garden. This charming holiday villa enjoys magnificent sea views and has a romantic atmosphere. It has recently been refurbished in a cool Mediterranean style with light blue tiles and white walls. .The bedroom has a double bed and spacious wardrobe and you can see the sea from the window. The living room has a table and chairs for inside dining, a single sofa bed, loungers, a fully equipped kitchen corner. The bathroom has a shower unit. There is a large shaded terrace in front of the house which overlooks the garden and sea and has table and chairs for outside dining. There is also a sun roof with sun beds and loungers so you can enjoy the incredible sea views and sunsets.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the herbs, vegetables and fruit grown by the owners whose villa is built on a lower part of the grounds and does not disturb the privacy of the guests. You can be assured of a very warm welcome and every effort is made to make your stay pleasant and memorable.
The swimming pool is situated in another part of the extensive grounds and is reached by a meandering path and steps through the well kept garden. There are loungers, sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool not to mention the incredible sea view that can be enjoyed also while swimming in the cool aquamarine water of this swimming pool which is one of the biggest private pools on the island. It is shared also by the guests who sometimes stay in the studio which is nestled in another part of the grounds.

Sublime experience!

Beautiful stay in Anacapri courtesy of Alexis & Luciana. They made my stay so much better than it was. Spectacular views, hidden gem villa in Anacapri away from the crowds & traffic of Capri town. Not the most luxurious place, but if you’re there to see the island look no further than this place. Perfect for a solo trip or couple. I will be back!

Best holiday ever

My, what views. We were beholden from day one and spent an unforgettable time in La Terrazza. The views from the place are amazing, the house is very comfortable and has all you need to prepare tasty meals also thanks to the fresh and excellent local produce that the owners often gave us. We walked up to the village nearly every day and had a great time people watching while having a drink in some of the bars there. We also tried some of the restaurants on the island which aren't cheap but provide good quality dishes. The one close to the villa has magnificent views over the bay of Naples too. We really enjoyed our stay in La Terrazza and will definitely return maybe to enjoy the spring flowers and cooler weather.

The villa is situated in a most idyllic position with outstanding panaramic views and fantastic air quality. The villa facilities are straight forward and all that you need. There is a walk in every direction with stunning views. Anacapri has all you need to be self sufficient although we were spoilt with the amount of eating places on the island. Our hosts were very helpful and welcoming we would recommend a weeks stay without reservation

Beautiful location and apartment

My wife and I, and our 6 month old son, stayed here for ten days. The apartment is small but well laid out, and the views are amazing! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and their company made the stay even more pleasant. The pool is gorgeous! Anacapri is a short bus ride away, or a pleasant walk. We would love to stay here again one day.

Paradise

We rented one property and our friends had the other. The location was wonderful, close to the Blue Grotto and a wonderful restaurant. Bus stop nearby runs regularly, but we chose to walk to Anacapri most of the time. We also walked to the Blue Grotto on an ancient path. Candace and Pepino are gracious and helpful hosts, arranging a boat ride around Capri one day and a driver to take us along the Amalfi Coast another day. We loved having several days on Capri to explore all the corners, sights, sounds, foods, and wines. Paradise! Highly recommend these properties. Do not miss Villa San Michele, Monte Solaro, we walked down and up the 995 steps of the Scala Fenicia, Damecuta, Villa Jovis, Blue Grotto (get there early), Giorgio Cucciolo Restaurant.

"Living the Dream!"

After many months of research on rentals, I chose Anacapri over Capri for the real island living experience. It's less touristy, less expensive and only 20-30 min from Capri by bus. It was also fun walking everywhere or taking the local bus (bus stop 5 min. walk from house). We went with another couple and we booked 2 villas at La Chimera, what a great choice. It was nice to have separate spaces, instead of sharing a villa. We spent hours at the pool with its incredible views of the sea and the lush landscape. The owners, Candace and Peppino were the best. They were very low profile,but there when we had questions and gave us great local tips on restaurants, groceries, private boat ride (worth every euro, friendly and knowledgable boat owner took us around the whole island and let us jump in sea a few times). The property, villas and pool were immaculate, well equipped and quiet. We cooked dinners with local meats and produce, while watching the sunset from our terrace. The only thing I would change is - to stay longer next time. We were "Living the Dream".

The lush landscape with terraced gardens perched on a cliffside, with a spectacular view, was more beautiful than the photos online could reveal. The Terrazzo Cottage was beautiful, with plenty of room, a great cooking area and a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. The sound of the sea was soothing. Candace and Peppino, the owners of this wonderful property, were gracious and available, but allowed me 100% privacy as well as being there if I had questions or requests. I feel as though I have made true friends. The swimming pool was perfect, built into the landscape and a great way to end an afternoon. I spent one month at La Terrazza. I came to find peace and rest and a true experience of Italy and Capri Island. My dreams were not just met, but exceeded. I found paradise!

Summer in Capri

At la Terrazza my husband and I felt as if we were in our own personal, private corner of Capri. We instantly loved the little white house with its light, comfortable sitting room with a useful kitchen area, its pretty bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space and its pleasant, efficient shower room - all in an idyllic setting. The door opened onto a lovely terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for dining, being partially shaded by a vine-clad pergola. The roof terrace was in the sun all day long with more amazing sea-views and equipped with chairs and sunbeds. I enjoyed a daily swim in the impeccable pool approached down steps which led through the beautiful terraced gardens. However, it was the warmth and friendliness of the owners, Candace and Peppino which made our holiday very special. They had great respect for our privacy but were always on hand to give help and advice when we asked for it. On arrival they were both there to give us the warmest welcome, together with fresh bread and milk, tea and coffee, wine and copious bunches of their home- grown black grapes. They were the perfect hosts, clearly taking pride in their property and delighting in our delight! Accessibility was another major advantage - we could easily reach anywhere we wanted to go thanks to the frequent and punctual buses which stopped just up the road. There was an excellent restaurant within walking distance and at the mention of Candace and Peppino's name the local food shop delivered our purchases to the door. Not surprisingly, we can't wait to go back to these lovely people in a truly lovely place!

Spectacular Environment - Wonderful hosts

Paradise in Anacapri

The "Chimera" cottage was everything we had hoped it would be and more! First of all the owners Candace and Peppino couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.A s soon as we arrived we felt at home! This property is in a fabulous private and quiet location a short distance outside of Anacapri town with easy access to a frequent bus system and walking trails. .The cottages sit above the owners property on a cliff overlooking the sea.There are lovely, well planned terraced gardens filled with natural vegetation and landscaping.At the bottom of the terraces is the gorgeous pool with lounges,umbrellas and everything you might need. .If pools are not your thing there's a patio with table and chairs outside your door and a roof deck above the cottage where you can watch the sunset or enjoy a glass of wine. Our only regret is that we only had four nights to stay here!

Anniversary Bliss

Everything as already been said. La Terrazza is a hidden Gem. We choose this to celebrate our Silver wedding Anniversary, we wanted a peaceful, quiet setting but it exceeded all our expectations. The views are breath taking, overlooking the bay of Naples and the swimming pool is in its own private setting where you can relax ,close your eyes and listen to the sea and nothing else. Absolute bliss. The bus service is ideal for getting around €1.60 euros each and so reliable. We did all the tourist things but what we liked the most was all the beautiful walks along the coast line, the scenery is magnificent and because of this we will be planning our next visit in the cooler months so we can plan more walking. What made our visit extra special was Candace and Peppino , you don't feel like guests but friends. They gave us advice on restaurants , ferry crossing and were at hand If we needed them but not intrusive.The champagne for our Anniversary was such a lovely surprise and just made this holiday so special. If you want a peaceful ,beautiful and private location then look no further. We will be defiantly be re-visiting our little paradise.

Heaven on earth

We stayed in La Terrazza for a week. What else can we say that hasn't been said before. Peace and quiet to die for, a pool to die for, views to die for, sunsets to die for. We were lucky enough to be the only visitors for the week we were there, but even if the other apartment had been occupied, we would still have had total privacy...except for Piccolo, the family dog, who popped in now and again on his rounds! But, again, it would be ideal for two couples. All the walks and views are too numerous to mention, but don't miss the Natural Arch and a trip up to the top of Mount Solaro by cablecar. When not walking, the little yellow buses were very reliable for getting around...a scary ride up the cliff face to Anacapri! One small grump...we were unable to get a weekly ticket. We used them quite often and had to pay every time, which did mount up. While on the island our best meal was at Le Arcate restaurant. Our best Bruschetta was at Caffe Michelangelo. Best of the rest...the whole of Capri, but particularly Anacapri, and of course La terrazza. Altogether heaven on earth...you won't be disappointed if you stay there.

Paradise within a paradise

We stayed in the terrace studio, and simply couldn't have been happier. It's a magical setting, through and through. From picking fresh fruits and vegetables around the property to watching the stars fill the sky from our rooftop lookout, this lovely little villa felt like home from the minute we arrived. Candace and her husband are outstanding hosts in every way; charming, knowledgeable, astute, and utterly guileless, they are just a stone's throw away while always affording you great privacy. The property is laid out splendidly. The whole thing, essentially, is a garden built onto a steep hillside. Each villa is surrounded by foliage, so you're never really aware there's anyone else nearby until you go exploring. The pool is pure decadence---a sparkling, azure jewel glistening in the Mediterranean sun. Being on the northwest side of the island (and way up in the impossibly charming town of Anacapri), the views from the villa are laughably beautiful. We were able to watch the sun set over a completely unencumbered view of the most pulchritudinous waters on the planet---so unencumbered, in fact, that one perceives the curvature of the earth. It's just perfect. We are already planning our next trip back here with friends and family in the next couple of years.

Rare Experience "Villa Life on Capri"

Wow! First the property: Meticulously designed terraces, sloping into the hillside amongst lush gardens, abundant with flowers, trees, citrus, and vegetables. The views looking west from the terraces just outside of the two rental units are breathtaking, particularly at sunset as the view is looking to the southwest. The way the property is designed, using the hillside, the units are private from the main owners home, and the pool is in its own private little hillside terrace as well, making the perfect dynamic for privacy. One aspect to the property that a prospective renter may want to consider is coming with another couple and renting both of the small apartments that are part of this private villa home. Each couple would have privacy and both have their own bathroom and small kitchen - the perfect set up! The experience: Where else could you possibly find a "Local Residential Experience" at a fabulous villa on Capri? Renting villas in Italy is common, but Capri combines all the best that Italy has to offer in an amazing setting perched over the sea! The best part is that most people only come to Capri for the day, turning it into a sleepy little island community from 3pm each day till the next day at around 11am. Not to mention the villa sits in the best area of the island away from all of the tourist activity. The local restaurant within walking distance has amazing food, service and ambiance, the walk to town takes 25 minutes and serves as an excellent morning exercise ritual to sit in the Piazza and enjoy a Cappucino/Croissant as you plan your grocery needs to procure for lunch or dinner from the quaint, friendly and abundant food shops in the charming little town of Anacapri. The owners could not be more helpful or easy to work with on everything from bookings, to transportation and general site seeing information on Capri, or the mainland attractions within a one hour boat ride away: Sorrento, Pompeii, Positano, and Amalfi,"The rest of the best Italy has to offer". I could not recommend this experience more highly and will return to this little slice of "Capri Villa Life", as often as possible!

2 weeks of relaxation and activity in Anacapri

Louise and I had a very memorable and relaxing two week stay with Candace and Peppino at La Chimera. In fact, we were made to feel right at home and after two weeks, we felt as though we were becoming “Anacaprese”! The view from the terrace is breathtaking as we watched boats float past during the day and then as we had a drink and watched the sunset that everyone aspires to see. We have been to the Isle of Capri to stay four times and we love Anacapri as it is away from the “glitter and beautiful people” of Capri. We had some great food and wine and every local would return our conversation (even in our very poor Italian)! Each day, we walked trail after trail around and across the island and then spent the afternoon in the pool overlooking the sea – how idyllic! I recommend this cottage and especially if you like walking as there are so many options up and back to Anacapri and all of the other walking tracks nearby. Paul and Louise, Sydney, Australia

We spent a wonderful 2 we...

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks in September on Capri. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the apartment, although not generous on space is more than adequate. We loved Anacapri - less starry than Capri town but more real with great shops and food. We had some of the best food and wine of our lives! I really recommend this cottage - the only reason I don't want to is that we may find it booked when we want to go back there!

Just got back from 11 da...

Just got back from 11 days in Italy. All was fun, but our 4 day stay with Candace and Peppino was the highlight. The setting is wonderful. You are high above the sea looking out over the boats pulling into the cove to see the Blue Grotto, which is a 5 minute bus ride away. Coffee in the morning, and a drink at night from the patio in front of our cottage greeting and closing out our days was a favorite part of our stay....sooo peaceful. We are sun worshipers so a few hours a day at the private pool was enjoyed. Everything on the island is reachable by buses which are convenient and inexpensive...the rides are ADVENTURES, as the roads were built for Roman Chariots and not buses, yet the drivers zip around like they are on an Interstate Hwy. The property is beautifully landscaped and show lots of TLC and planning for many years. The cottage is cozy. Not a lot of room but the extra patio space and views make up for it. The town of Anacapri is very friendly and comfortable. many good restaurants & shops. The people there are out strolling in the evenings and you feel a great sense of community and safety. The owners were very helpful, were there when you needed to contact them and very helpful with suggestions and assisting with arrangements. We will be back and we recommend it for anyone who is looking for a memorable romantic getaway.

Michele and I had such a great and wonderful experience. We keep telling each other that we wish we were back at The Chimera. The studio was even better than you described. We were very comfortable, everything worked, well stocked with necessities, excellent tour guide books and maps available and even better, your personal recommendations. The only regret we had was not spending more time at the pool, it is so beautiful. Although we were very busy seeing the sites and going to restaurants, we left many more sites and restaurants to explore when we return. The apartment was an excellent value and we highly recommend others to come and experience first-hand what we did. We felt at home immediately due to your warm and charming hospitality. 8 days of peace and quite in a smashing location

I can sum this villa up by saying it was such a tranquil, private and beautiful location that the TV was not turned on once during our 8 day stay, which says something with me! The villa itself was comfortable, very clean and ticked all the boxes. We loved the evenings on the private patio with a bottle of wine soaking in the spectacular views and sunset. The grounds are amazing, a lush colorful garden carved out of the hillside. Lemons trees, apricot trees, herbs, strawberries grow all around the garden which the owners were more than happy for us to help ourselves to. We would not be swimming pool fans but the pool was lovely with great views and a nice sea breeze coming in over it. An excellent bus service runs to Anacapri every 10 mins (takes 5 mins and costs €1.30) and to Capri you need to change once in Anacapri (takes 10mins from Anacapri and costs another €1.30). Great shopping in Capri town and a real buzz about it. Anacapri was lovely in the evenings to stroll around. We had our 10 month old with us tried to avoid both towns at peak times during the day as it is very busy with cruise ship passengers. Excellent restaurant (can’t remember the name) located within 10 minutes walk, all tables look out over the ocean, good food and friendly staff. I would advise a boat trip around the island at the beginning as it really gives you a feel for Capri and will help you get your bearings.

Breath taking location with outstanding welcome.

Just returned from our 2nd visit; roll on a 3rd! The location is second to none. In the relaxing and peaceful location of Anacapri. The beautiful gardens and well kept villas are a great base to explore or a sanctuary to relax. The views make you go "wow". Here you can get a bit of everything. You can chill on the villa terraces or by the pool; mingle with the locals in the nearby windy streets or get out and about and experience the buzz of the tourist trail. Lots of culture, walking opportunites and great food & wine nearby. Forget the car, walking is the way to soak in the scenery. Well stocked local supermarket 20minutes walk away. Owners provide a friendly welcome and a great source of local knowledge (Fluent English). They arranged private boat trips, taxis and offered local recommendations. Clean and well equipped appartments; including good kitchen & dinning facillities. There's a range of tourist information and general interest books. Welcome pack includes the essentials, even a bottle of local wine! Enjoy!
