This elegant, second-floor apartment in the heart of Lugano is an ideal base, whether you are staying for business or for a relaxing city break.

The modern apartment sleeps 5 people in comfort. The contemporary décor creates a calm and luxurious atmosphere. The open-plan living/dining area is furnished with a sofa, armchair, coffee table and a flat-screen TV. The dining table and chairs are next to the new open-plan kitchen which is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and Nespresso machine.

Both bedrooms are beautifully decorated with double beds, extensive wardrobes and laptop-friendly workspaces.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

The stylish marble-tiled bathroom has a glass shower, basin and WC.

Location
Even if you are in Lugano for business there are plenty of distractions for you to enjoy during your free time. For holidaymakers, the options are endless. This apartment is in the historical centre of the city, which makes it ideal for exploring many of the sites on foot and enjoying its variety of attractions.

In the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, Lugano combines the best of both cultures. This heritage is celebrated at MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (10-minute walk). The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer.

A day trip on the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. Another favourite is Piazza della Riforma (2-minute walk), the heart of the city. It is a beautiful square lined with excellent restaurants and cafés.

For self-catering, there are many excellent food shops in the city, as well as the farmers market on Tuesday and Friday in Via Carducci (5 minutes walk).

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 15 minute journey.

family visiting lugano for a week

location is perfect. Air conditioning appreciated. Cleanliness was amazing, well equipped kitchen and very quiet while right in the middle of the busy part of town. Easy walk to everything. We are definitely coming back.

Fantastic location

Beautifully appointed apartment steps from the funicular in downtown Lugano. Close to restaurants, the lakefront, farmers market, etc. Has everything you need, including full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer. Luxurious, comfortable and quiet. A jewel!

Pros:- This property was updated and modern, and the location was fantastic. It was a block away from the lake, and it was a lovely area to walk around. - The washer/dryer in the bathroom was a nice amenity.Cons: - The biggest con was our communication with the host. We received an email with check in details, which instructed us to reach out for a door code if one had not been provided. We received a very combative response from the host, which we will attach to our review.- We alerted the host to multiple maintenance issues (bedroom privacy curtain pulled halfway off the rod, safe not working, bathroom mirror not working), which were acknowledged but not fixed during our stay. - While most of the apartment was clean, the shower had a lot of black mold. - Basic amenities (hand soap, eg) were not provided.- The dryer function on the combo washer/dryer was very weak. Even a 3-hour dryer cycle did not completely dry the small-to-medium-sized load.

Fantastic stay in Lugano downtown just a few minutes from lake and marina

We loved Novo Emerald! Our family of 5 (2 parents and 3 kids) spent 3 nights at Novo Emerald and were beyond impressed. The property was immaculately clean and had really nice beds and linens. Our youngest child slept on the pull-out couch in living room which was nice quality. The living area was spacious enough for us to have breakfast without feeling cramped, and we enjoyed watching movies on the large TV at night. Best of all was the immediate proximity to the beautiful lakefront areas of Lugano. We walked through Parco Ciani and happened upon a music festival (which we learned are quite frequent). There were innumerable great restaurants and gelaterias within a few minutes’ walk, along with a lovely cafe and grocery just across the way from the apartment entrance. For runners, there are great paths and trails along Lugano lakefront leading up Monte San Salvatore (south) or Monte Bre (northeast). We spent a day in Milan visiting the cathedral and castle; it was an hour drive in our rental car (though train was also an option with a bit longer travel time). There was secure public paid parking located a block from the apartment. All in all, a beautiful and perfectly located apartment for visiting Lugano!
