Amber Lodge - 3 bedroom bungalow with hot tub
Amber Lodge is one of seven properties set in the complex at Oakerthorpe Holiday Village.
â
The property has a modern kitchen with granite worktops with dining table with seating for 6 with space for 4 extra chairs if needed, includes fully integrated appliances including dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine and range cooker. The spacious lounge has a 42â wall mounted TV with Freeview and Wi-fi.

Sleeping arrangements consists of master bedroom with en-suite, double bedroom with shower room and a twin bedroom with adjacent family bathroom.

The Lodge has a standard occupancy of 6 however we are able to sleep 10 by adding additional put up beds in the bedrooms. The additional price is ÂŁ40 per bed/per night.

The Lodge sits in grounds of approximately 1 acre comprising of a private hot tub, patio areas, large car park and a BBQ station and it is adjacent to a œ acre of paddock, usually inhabited by the village alpacas Hugo and Boss.
â
Follow the sign for the spinney and you will see our free range goats and sheep and then over the stile you are in The Orchard.
â
Within the walled Orchard are chickens, geese, ducks, bantams, quails, peacocks, rhea (small ostrich) and meerkats and is where the younger guests are invited to help Farmer Vic including fruit picking when in season and feeding and collecting the eggs from the chickens throughout the year except during the Christmas period.
To the right you will see another stile in the fence which is the entrance to the main village grounds which include a large playpark with playhouse, designated BBQ area, a floodlit sports area and an enclosed dog walking area along the banks of the River Amber, where the adjacent sluice gates and weir will be seen that served to provide water power to the neighbouring Cotton Mill circa 1790.

Oakerthorpe Holiday Village first opened in 2012 with 1 property known as Amber Lodge, proving a great success owner Vic Fell went about converting the other properties connected to Amber Mill Farm into a Holiday Village which now consists of 7 Holiday Lets ranging from 2 bedrooms to 9 bedrooms â the last property to be completed was in December 2015.Taking advantage of his farming roots and his love for animals especially the feathered variety a petting park within the walled Orchard of the farm was created with a variety of animals including pigs, geese, ducks, bantams, quails, peacocks, sheep and meerkats which is proving very popular with the younger guests especially helping Farmer Vic at feeding times and collecting the eggs from the chickens.  A large play park fully fenced off for safety, consisting of swings, slide, climbing frame and large playhouse, canoe and full sized Ferguson tractor.The park includes a picnic area to relax and observe. Adjacent to the play park is a designated BBQ area facility consisting of 5 separate BBQs and for the more sporting of our guests is a dedicated flood-lit sports area for lovers of the beautiful game â of course other ball games are available!  All in all a total Holiday Village experience has been created to make your stay here as happy and memorable as possible and with the untapped and underrated Derbyshire Countryside on the doorstep we advise you to give us a try and be among our growing legions of delighted holiday makers.
