We are, of course, disappointed to read your comments, although we are not entirely surprised given the behaviour experienced by our local villa manager during your stay. Our staff work hard to ensure that all guests enjoy their holiday, and we expect a mutual level of respect in return. You raised concerns about ants in the bedroom, but as the villa manager explained, food had been taken and consumed in the beds. As this is a hot climate, any crumbs left out will inevitably attract ants, which is entirely beyond the control of the owner or staff. We also note with concern that you suggested to the villa manager that a refund of one night’s stay would secure a positive review. This is not how we operate, nor how reviews should be used. The villa manager and owner, who have many years of experience maintaining their properties to a very high standard, were understandably upset by this behaviour. We value constructive feedback from our guests, but in this case we feel the review is unfair and does not accurately reflect the property, the service provided, or the genuine efforts made by our local team.
