Nice long weekend in Bear Chase. House was great and location next to brewery and hiking trails is very nice. Would recommend to anyone. We hope to go back soon.

We just left the property after a wonderful stay over Christmas week. The house was perfect for our family of nine people. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt very welcoming. The host was extremely helpful when we had a problem with a package delivery. The location was perfect….close to wineries, small towns that we explored, great places to eat and beautiful scenery. We are already planning to come back in warmer weather.

The house is AMAZING!!! The view out the front window is incredible. They even have a tall set of binoculars that you can use to look out over the valley! The house was so spacious and beautiful and NEAT!!! And felt very comfy and luxurious too. We also loved that the property manager was super responsive.

This is a beautiful location in the wine country of Virginia. The views are breathtaking and the manor is beautiful. We loved having the indoor heated pool and the brewery right next door. When we had a few questions about the TV and hot tub, Ben responded immediately and addressed them all. We had a wonderful stay.

We had my daughters wedding here and it was perfect for the event. Plenty of room for many of the guests to stay and they all enjoyed it very much. There was one small issue and it was handled by staff in a timely and thoughtful manner. Well worth it!

We had such a wonderful time at this gorgeous house! It was clean, comfortable, spacious and very relaxing. Our group had kids and adults of all ages and everyone had a fantastic time. The brewery next door is an added bonus, and we didn’t have any issues with noise or crowds. We will definitely stay here again.

Anniversary Celebration

Great home and location. Back deck could use a few more umbrellas. During our stay an additional umbrella was requested and brought over very quickly. Great service. On our last day (Tuesday), there was a lot of construction noise coming from the brewery. Not sure what was going on, but it eventually stopped. Would definitely come back again. My parents loved their 60 th Anniversary celebration.

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful property, amazing house. We had four generations stay for a family getaway ranging from 7 months old to 87 years old. The kitchen was easy to cook in, we could all sit around the table and hang out in the main room. The indoor pool was amazing! Being next door to the brewery was nice! The view from the deck was gorgeous. Lisa had incredible customer service! We hope to be back!

Our family loves this place. There's a ton of room for us to spread out, an indoor pool, and lots of yard and trails to walk around. Checkin and property management is top notch. We have been coming here every year since Covid times, and they seem to be adding small improvements every time. It's always super clean. I love that it's pet friendly. I enjoyed morning coffee with my dogs on the deck overlooking the mountain. Having the brewery next door is nice. The indoor pool is always a favorite. We will be bak!

Favorite place

We have a group of 6 couples who love to reunite several times a year. This is one of our favorite places to stay and we have been coming for many years. The house is comfortable and there are many great local attractions.

MLK Day Getaway

We stayed for three nights over a long weekend, arriving on Friday night and leaving Monday morning. 8 adults and six kids between 5 and 12. Check-in was easy. Location right next to the brewery was great. House is very big and well laid out. It does indeed have great views. A couple of things held this back from being 5 stars. First, the DirecTV did not work at first, which was important to us because of the NFL playoffs. We are grateful to Ben, the property manager, who worked hard on a Saturday calling in reinforcements to get it working. Still, it took a whole day for the issue to be resolved. The bigger issue is that the house is showing a bit of its age in terms of cleanliness. The pool was nice, but there was visible mold in some areas. Realizing we were in the woods, so some bugs are to be expected, but there were numerous stinkbugs we had to deal with throughout the weekend.Overall it was a good stay, and we would come back.

Fantastic New Year

Our group had an amazing stay at the Bear Chase Manor! The house has great common space areas and the pool was a huge hit with everyone. We also loved the convenience of being next to the brewery along with the incredible views of nature. Can't wait to have the opportunity to stay here again!

Family Christmas at Bear Chase Manor

Bear Chase Manor is a gorgeous property, but it especially shines at Christmas time! The Manor was decorated beautifully for the holidays and the large Christmas tree sparkled with lights and ornaments! It was absolutely delightful! It was wonderful to gather with family at the large dining room table with classic tablecloth and Christmas decorations throughout! As we have stayed here before, we knew the staff would do a beautiful job and they did not disappoint! We all enjoyed relaxing in the heated pool and hot tub and looking out at the amazing view of the mountains! The game room and large living room with fireplace was absolutely perfect for our family Christmas!Just a perfect Christmas week at Bear Chase Manor! We cannot wait to enjoy this special place again soon!

The best/coziest

We thoroughly enjoyed the cozy lodge vibe and the different spaces it offered our group. The host, Leslie, was always available for any questions we had. She also had the place decorated for Christmas which warmed our hearts!! Thank you Bear Chase for a great weekend.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

We came up from Florida to spend Thanksgiving at Bear Chase Manor. There were 11 of us in total ranging from grandparent down to a 4 year old. We all had a great time and were very comfortable in this spacious, beautiful house. The view is spectacular and the brewery right next door is great. We made many beautiful memories by the fire pit, on the deck, in the pool and even just lounging in the living room.Leslie was spectacular at communicating with me, even on Thanksgiving eve! Thanks Leslie!! We look forward to our next visit.
