Cardinals Roost Virginia Apartment: On Boulevard - Sleeps 3

One of 2 apartments that roost above a 1902 home in the heart of the historic Boulevard neighborhood.

One bedroom with queen size bed and TV/living room with futon. Full, urban kitchen opens to the living room. Cable TV and Wifi provided. Free curbside parking on wide street. Private, covered stairwell entrance.

Sidewalks line the neighborhood creating an easy walk to Downtown, Bottleworks on Prince Avenue, Normaltown, and Sanford Stadium.

My family and I live below the apartment. We assume you'd like your privacy, but we are also very happy to help with advice and directions.

Some of the bounty that awaits you by easy walk or very short ride: Thousand Faces coffee, and White Tiger BBQ. Normaltown area (featuring Automatic Pizza, Agua Linda, Normal Bar, Hi-Lo, Old Pal, Square One, and Marti's at Midday) and Bottleworks on Prince (featuring SeaBear Oyster Bar, Hendershot's Coffee & Bar, Farmburger, Poquito's and Athens Cooks). And, of course, easy travel by foot or bus to downtown and Sanford Stadium.

In addition to the wonderful eateries, yoga studios, coffeehouses and nightlife, the apartment is surrounded by beautiful historic homes worthy of a stroll. Several parks and playgrounds are also nearby.

Was in town for the AthHalf Half-Marathon. Nice easy walk over to the Start Area, as well as the course going right by this location. Worked remotely before heading out back home and had a great time staying here.

The place is OK, but was overpriced for the game weekend. It was definitely not worth 650 for two nights.It has potential but is in need of some TLC. Also, the sheets on the bed were torn. There is no possible way the person that put on the sheets didn't notice the tear.

UGA Graduation Weekend

This place was a fantastic choice for our graduation weekend in Athens. It provided a comfortable, convenient, and charming base for all our celebrations. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting UGA, especially those looking for a welcoming and well-located place to stay while enjoying the city's unique charm and significant life events like a college graduation. It truly made our celebratory weekend even more memorable! Jason reached out to us prior to our stay and gave clear directions about our arrival and departure. Area is very safe and parking was on the street was easy and plentiful. Highly recommend!

Great spot

My husband and I have stayed here a few times for parents’ weekends, and we love it! It’s a great location in Athens and we love the space. It’s a Very easy check in process.

We had a lovely stay here during a trip to Athens. The room was clean, and quiet, and had plenty of room for us. There was plenty of privacy in the room. The owner was very nice and friendly. Getting in the apartment was easy and very safe. The apartment itself was perfect. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. They really had thought of everything. It is in walkable distance to Sanford Stadium or downtown Athens- it is a 30-45 minute walk, but it is a pleasant and safe walk. The neighborhood is lovely. We really enjoyed staying here and will definitely return when we need a place to stay in Athens.

There were so many extras at this rental. We had snacks. They provided shampoo and body wash. The owner was amazing very attentive. It was overall a wonderful stay.

UGA move in weekend

This was our second time staying at Cardinals Roost VirginIa Apartment. It’s perfect for our needs and I love the location. Very cute and comfortable place-we much prefer staying here rather than a hotel!

Beautiful apartment in a quaint historic district - very comfortable and clean. Plenty of options for coffee, food, shopping within walking distance or a quick Uber ride. Excellent access to downtown. Hosts were wonderful. Excellent communication and responded quickly to questions.

Not for everyone

Property owner is gracious and wants you to enjoy your stay. However, the property is probably more suitable for students or younger folks. It is clean but dated and very small. If you are accustomed to certain standards as far as comfort, quality, and convenience you might be disappointed. In addition, there is 20 steps up to deal with so if you’ve had knee issues beware.

My husband and I were in town for a Georgia game and really enjoyed our stay at the Cardinal Roost. The host communicated clearly and the place was perfect. Also within walking distance to several Athens favorites. Will definitely stay again when in town!

Such a cute and quaint place! A nice, quiet neighborhood to rest your head and re-charge after moving our daughter into UGA. Location was perfect! Owner is so nice and helpful!

Great place!

Location is amazing. Space is perfect for two people. Everything about the stay was easy. Quiet neighborhood. Apartment was well equipped. Host is easy to communicate with. He has everything you need written in a book which was very helpful. (TV, heating, air conditioning controls. Clear check out instructions, where to eat, things to do) Highly recommend. Made a chaotic out of state parents UGA graduation a lot easier. ❤️🖤

Although our home is below the apartment, we will not bother you unless you ask us to. When we are not traveling, we like to garden, play games, exercise, and enjoy the treasures of Athens.

It's historic homes and sidewalks make it a lovely, friendly place to be. It's proximity to downtown and Prince Avenue grant easy access to eateries, venues, and shops.
