House was lovely. Vacasa Mgmt Company does not have the house cleaned properly. Dirty dishes, debris in bedsheets, hair in tub, dried food on knives. When I requested they come and clean it properly, they refused. I feel bad for the owners... they are not getting the service they are paying for... and the tenants are getting a super cute house with unvacuumed carpets, unclean bedding and dirty dishes. So sad. (I've never left a bad review before, but I just couldn't ignore the terrible service from Vacasa.

Good but not great

While the house was fine, there were some quirky things that are bringing my rating down. There were not any directions for the fireplace so we had to call for assistance. Pilot light was out, so host lit it. However, still no directions and so we could never turn it off. Also, you could not use the recliners on the couch. Prior to check in, I received 2 different codes for the front door. I used the first one and it worked… until 3 nights into our stay. We returned from being out and upon our return (when it was dark and cold) the original code didn’t work but the second one did. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with gadgets but you’ll need to bring your own extra towels. The only pantry items that were there were salt and pepper.

Don’t bother

I was very disappointed. Holes in carpet with nails sticking up! Broken kitchen utensils. A couch that has recliners and none work. Broken coffee table. The queen bedroom bedspread had stains and needed to be washed. Whiskers on the shelf in one bathroom. All none Stick pans need to be replaced. And to top it all off, the person that was telling me the rules was rude and almost sounded like she thought me and my children were planning to have a house party. I was offended with how I was treated for no reason. This place should have been priced for 100 less a day. Not worth it

Beautiful Lazy Bear Retreat

This home was warm and cozy. Clean and had all amenities needed to make beautiful memories. Rooms and beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels in bathrooms. Kitchen has all the supplies - pots, pans, etc. (FYI- you will need to bring your own spices- salt, etc) Backyard is a gem! Gorgeous view of trees and plenty of room for our kids to explore and play. Cons: 1) Recliner sectional, which is motorized, does NOT recline due to owners removing power cords. I reached out before booking to ask specifically about this issue, but never received an answer. This was disappointing, because when we saw the recliner sectional, we assumed it would actually recline. 2) Family room TV was not set up to show anything upon arrival. No channels, videos, and would not connect to the internet. A maintenance man came and tried to fix it, but was not able to get it to work. Even though, the manager said they would assist with these issues, they never followed up while we were there and were not resolved. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider renting this home again.

Great place to stay just outside of south lake tahoe hub

This was a nice property located in a quiet neighborhood just off the beaten path, very easy to get to Heavenly, Casinos and many local restaurants. Place was also very clean.

Didn’t like that I had to go to an office to get my code and sign forms to check in The location was good. The neighborhood was quiet. The home was spacious, and we got to see a bear. and the TV which the last night we tried to use and could not get the volume turned down and I called but no one was able to assist so instructions on the TV need to be specified that would be very helpful

South Lake Tahoe retreat

The decks were the highlight -enjoying breakfast& later cocktails! Appreciated the light that comes on the garage as we pulled into the driveway. Water in the fridge was nice. Bed in master was comfortable.

Never stay here

This experience was terrible.this property has 4 power recliners and not 1 of them worked because it was not plugged in.when i told the front desk they said look under the sectional and i looked under each piece and no cord was there except the cord that is attached to each section of the couch witch has not outlet plug to go in the wall.all i found was dirt,candy wrappers,potato chips,peanuts and other stuff,which attracted something because i had several bug bites.when I tried calling the front desk to explain what I found they refused to call me back and I even left text messages and all I got back was "it's there under the couch". No one would help me at all or even at least return my calls or text. Buy the way this all happened within 10 minutes of check in time.also there is no curtin or blinds on the large main window that covers the interior of the living room.there we're many other things wrong with this property but to much to list.the only thing good was whoever decorated this place deserves an A+.very beautiful.to bad about the rest of it.

Wouldn’t stay anywhere else

This was our 5th stay here, and we just keep coming back. Main reason? The living area has a beautiful full view of the quiet forest behind the house. It’s so pleasant for early morning coffee, and the deck with the same view for afternoon cocktails. This is a house for total relaxation.

Cozy Family Rental

The cabin was perfect for our family. Had everything we needed. The front yard provided plenty of place for the kids to play in the snow. However while we were there the snow started melting and revealed trash and lots of cigarettes left by previous renters I am assuming. Overall a very quiet and clean place to enjoy with the family.

Great Getaway!

We had a great time for a girls weekend. Plenty of seating for games and meals. One room has a triple bunk bed, so just be sure you are aware of that if you're planning a trip for adults. Parking was a little tricky due to ice, but all in all a great stay with beautiful forest views.

3rd Stay!

Love this place. This was our 3rd stay at Lazy Bear, and it never disappoints. It says something when there are just the 2 of us and we rent a 3-bedroom house. Why? Because it just has everything we need: great view, peace and quiet, and comfort galore. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Wouldn’t stay here again.

Dirty dishes, kitchen supplies were extremely old and most unusable, cleaning supplies weren’t available, left one roll of paper towels for a week for 7 people, towels were sparse, sink sprays you if you try to use the hose, and the toiletries were minimal. We went in the off season so the price was discounted. If I paid the going rate of $450 a night I would not be okay with the stay.

Very Nice

Very beautiful, clean and comfortable. We had problems connecting to DVD player and turning on fireplaces. Someone came to help a few hours later and got us all set up. We would have liked to have the couches plugged into the power source so they could recline. I would recommend this place and ai would stay again.

Family trip to Lazy Bear Retreat

Cute and roomy property for our family. Very hot water and heater worked well. Loved the fireplace indoor and out (fire pit was nice with comfy seating). Place is not baby proofed, but our little toddler roamed around without issues. Property managers were helpful and helped troubleshoot in a timely manner. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

A new family favorite!

Our stay at this lovely Tahoe Paradise was super comfortable. My husband, his parents and our nine year old son enjoyed a laid back, relaxing week in Tahoe at this VRBO. It was spacious, clean and well stocked with all the essentials we needed. We will definitely choose this location to stay at in our future trips to Tahoe.
