Stable Cottage - sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom
Come and enjoy the delights of Stable Cottage situated near the banks of the Pembroke Mill Pond and within the historic market town of Pembroke. This superb stone cottage is teaming with character and charm and has been meticulously restored by its current owners to a very high standard, retaining every feature and quirk possible.
This perfect couples retreat is nestled within the heart of this traditional town and only a ten-minute walk to Pembroke Castle. This Norman castle is famous for being the birthplace of King Henry VII. You can also enjoy a host or restaurants, shops, cafés and boutique craft shops all from your doorstep along with 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast footpath being close by. As you enter Stable Cottage you really feel immersed in this fantastic space, the open plan living, and dining area leads through to your bespoke oak topped kitchen and onto your courtyard seating area which is ideal for breakfast alfresco. On an evening you can relax in front of the log burner with a good movie. Access to the first floor is via a beautifully hand crafted set of paddle stairs. On the first floor the master suite really is special, with vaulted ceilings, original wood beams, and a beautifully appointed en-suite shower room - it really does offer the perfect base to enjoy this area in comfort and luxury.
Nearby you can discover the Stackpole Estate, a National Trust managed house and gardens where you can discover its fantastic walks and beautiful sites including the glistening Bosherston Lily Ponds, famous for its otters and water lilies, and the stunning beaches at Broadhaven and Barafundle, with their golden sands and crystal blue waters. The bustling coastal resort of Tenby is within easy reach and is renowned for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and pastel painted Georgian houses. It has a variety of boutique gift shops, traditional pubs and highly acclaimed restaurants.
Take a boat trip to the historic island of Caldey, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years.
The properties (Blacksmith Cottage and Stable Cottage) can be booked together to accommodate larger groups (up to 8).
