An open plan kitchen/dining area serves as the heart of the home, leading to a bright conservatory equipped with a pool table and garden vistas. Outside, the garden offers further space including a patio, generous lawn with uninterrupted countryside views and the property's namesake maple tree, an impressive focal point with its seasonally changing foliage.

New Years Family gathering

Lovely comfortable home perfect for 8 adults and 3 children. We would highly recommend this hose. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and living room and bedrooms perfectly suited our needs. The WiFi was poor, but didn’t bother us much and a baby’s highchair would have been helpful. (Travel cot too for those coming from outside UK) Would be very happy to stay in Maple House again. Would love to enjoy it in the Summer!

A Mixed Review of Maple House

It’s a lovely house and in a fantastic location for enjoying Chipping Campden and the Cotswolds. We enjoyed the sociable kitchen/diner and it was fun to play pool while supper was cooking! However, the cleanliness was an issue as a number of the carpets and rugs didn’t appear to have been cleaned or hoovered for our arrival. In the kitchen, the grill pan was also dirty and we were disappointed that there was no salt or pepper mill. We were also disappointed that we didn’t have any wood provided so we couldn’t have a fire on our first night, which would have been nice as it was November. I would be delighted to hear from you regarding any of these issues as we have used StayCotswold for a decade and a half for many, very precious weekends!

Our Family Holiday with The Grandchildren

On arrival the house was very clean and had everything you need for your stay , the garden was very nice with the swing and slide which kept the little ones happy , the garden it self needs a bit of TLC , grass cut and shrubs cut back and de weeded , the patio wasn’t swept up and could do with a pressure wash to make it look presentable, also the wine chiller in the kitchen makes a noise which is annoying but it keeps the wine and beer chilled , apart from that it was very nice and private, we all went out during the day and on our arrival home somebody had been in the house to remove a new washing machine in the utility room and they changed the outside seating cushions which weren’t as comfortable as the old ones but we thought we would have been informed that somebody was entering the house while we were out as our private belongings were in the house , Apart from that the house was lovely , The showers were excellent and there was everything you needed there to make your holiday lovely , the village of Chipping Campden was beautiful as well as the whole of the Cotswolds ,The Weather was fantastic so we made the most of the house and garden and I would highly recommend a stay at Maple House for a large family ,

Beautiful home

We travelled from Australia and stayed here for a few days with family at Xmas time, what a beautiful home and amazing location! Walk into village was lovely passing by some beautiful spots. Home was lovely with a log fire which we all loved! Would have loved a larger Xmas tree (it was 2-3 ft tree) to make it feel on par with how beautiful the village was decorated but that just because I’m a big Xmas fan, apart from that we were very happy!

We absolutely loved Maple House and Chipping Campden.

Maple House is very spacious and has a lovely big garden which was great as we had four very young grandchildren with us.Whilst the garden is great, it could do with a bit of tlc. The outdoor furnture and BBQ are a bonus as was the playroom which has a pool table although no one had a chance to take advantage. The bedrooms are all a very good size, particularly the master suite with dresssing room and en suite bathroom. All bedrooms have more than enough storage which is always a bonus. The downstairs is huge with a large utility room. We particularly loved the spacious open plan kitchen/dining room with the games room just off the kitchen so we could keep an eye on the little ones who are 5,3,2 and 10 months! They all had the best time too! The kitchen has lots of storage and is extremely well equipped. All in all, Maple House is fantastic and we would definately reccommend it. If we weren't looking to explore other areas in the UK, we would definitly re book. We are currently looking for a similar property elsewhere but struggling to find anything that comes close in terms of value and location. Maple House is a short walk to the beautiful town of Chipping Campden which is,by far, our favourite in the area.

Great place to stay

The house was great. Really good communications with the company that managed it. Its a really nice house, and felt cared for and homely. We appreciated welcome pack of milk, juice, bread etc but also all the other little things possibly left by previous guests that some companies would just clear out but were nice to find, eg tea, spices, coffee pods, dishwasher tablets, tissues, sugar We also have some good evenings in Chipping Camden, Lovely pubs, - and really recommend Luigis (italian restaurant) Thank you :)

Cotswolds Gem

Great house in a lovely location only a short walk to the centre of Chipping Campden. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area, the steam train out of Broadway was a highlight for 4 of the adults in our party! House was very clean throughout and has everything you need for a good holiday, although we could not find any guidance for when the bins went out. Booking procedure was easy as was the communication of property details Maple House was a real home from home.

Lovely Maple House

We had a lovely 4 days at gorgeous Maple House with three generations of our family. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. The living spaces were great for socialising, and the pool table was a huge hit with the teenagers and grandad (although we found discarded vapes in the pool room basket in a non-smoking house!) The kitchen had everything we could have needed and the kind gift of milk, bread, butter, eggs and orange juice was a lovely touch. The downsides were that the freezer leaked and we had to keep mopping up the small puddles, there were quite a few cobwebs, and the outside areas need a lot of TLC. We had lovely weather - but couldn't use any of the seating areas in the garden because they were filthy. Luckily, we had brought our camping chairs, so we could still enjoy the sunshine in the garden. We would definitely stay again though. It's a huge house in a brilliant position to walk into town and a beautiful part of the world.

Lovely location , welcoming house needs some tender loving care

The location of the property is great . Short walk into chipping Camden which had excellent restaurants and pubs . The house is welcoming and suits a group of 8 . The lounge and kitchen area plus the pool table are great for a large party . We had some issues with cleanliness in the kitchen . Items dirty and the kitchen equipment is old and random . No decent mugs for tea , a jumble of old ones . Cutlery the same . We had leaks from the fridge/freezer that constantly needed to be cleaned up - pools of water. A sink overflowing in the small ensuite when we arrived , a smoke alarm going off which we had to sort out ! Not ideal for a calm 4 days away !! We did text the number we were given but no reply .

Great location and has the potential to be lovely but.....

This house is in a fantastic position with a short walk into Chipping Campden village with lovely pubs and coffee shops etc. The house has the potential to be great, it is a great size, lovely rooms and a nice big garden but it is clear it has been neglected and left tired and dirty. Before writing this review I have read back on previous reviews and can see that some of the issues we faced were reported as far back as last October. The leaks on the ceiling are unsightly but what was worse was the light fitting was danderous and flashing constantly, we managed to disconnect this ourselves. The fridge was constantly leaking and had to be mopped up multiple times per day this is also causing damage to the kitchen cabinets. The wardrobe doors in one of the bedrooms have come off the runners and need sorting as could be dangerous. In its current state I would not recommend this property but if the issues were resolved I would definitely recommend To be fair to the property management I did report all of these issues when I arrived and I was asked if I wanted anythign looking at while we were there and I said no, but now seeing that these were not new issues I feel I have to raise in the review.

Maple House

We stayed at Maple House for my husbands surprise birthday weekend with friends .The house was in a fantastic location with parking and we were able to walk into Chipping Campden on both days to explore the high street and surrounding areas. The house was comfortable and clean but looking tired in places but we appreciated the complimentary items left in the fridge on our arrival.There was however a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs utility room.. All bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and the master bedroom had plenty of storage. On our last morning we showered and heard dripping downstairs .We found water leaking through the downstairs light fitting !!!!.It was dripping all over the sofa and cushions and we noticed large water stains on the ceiling, so this had obviously been a previous issue that was left and not addressed .The fuse board had tripped which left us with no power for an hour which wasn’t ideal for our guests trying to get ready to leave . I contacted the team and they did say they would get someone to look at it but I can’t imagine this hasn’t been mentioned before due to the large stains,which have been there some time. Overall a beautiful and comfortable house but in need of some TLC in places and the damp smell and leaking shower needs to be addressed.

Management Company Review

I am writing this review for the management company only as I think they are not receiving feedback from customers. The location is beautiful and the house lovely but a few points that would really help lift the stay that have been mentioned by other guests but obviously not fixed. - The sign to the house could be improved, it's very small and it took us a couple of times up and down the road before we saw it. - The fridge freezer was leaking water all over the kitchen floor the whole stay and i noted that in the guest book this had been mentioned by the previous guest as an issue. - The wine fridge was making a terrible loud buzzing noise when on, it was off when we first arrived I wonder as it is not working well and making a terrible noise when in use. - There are very limited wine glasses at the house, I think 3 in total and non that match. A house of this caliber that is expecting 8 adults should have at least 8 wine glasses. We had a chef come and cook for us one night and had to have wine out of beakers. - The number of glasses in total should be looked at as there isn't a large selection considering the number of guests expected. The same goes for tea and coffee cups there is a very random selection. - There were glasses in the cupboard that had visible cracks down them that if you weren't paying attention could easily break in your mouth. - The garden needs some attention it has been allowed to become quite overgrown, there were significant stinging nettles in the bottom section of the garden, which when the house is advertised as child friendly doesn't fit as advertised. - The children's play items at the bottom of the garden, swing and slide have also seen better days and the swing item is very frayed. They don't seem to be the safest. - The cushions for the outside furniture are badly stained as they have been left outside/damp at some point. - The sun umbrella that is outside by the outside furniture is very badly stained and moldy I wouldn't want to actually put that up and have that over you. - The pool table and pool equipment has also seen better days, the corners of the pool table kept coming off and some of the pool cues were loose. - Only supplying one hairdryer in the property when expecting 8 adults could be improved one hair dryer per room would be my expectation. We very much enjoyed our stay at the house but just feel that there is no one that is checking the house after each stay to check that things are in working order and to catch the small things. The place needs a bit of TLC to bring it back to its best.

Great place for a multi generation family break
