Elipa Cottage is a beautiful, meticulously renovated 2 bedroom alpine cottage (sleeping 5) with stunning garden and amazing views of Triglav, the Julian Alps and the Karavanke mountains located in the idyllic village of Stiška Vas on the lower part of Krvavec mountain. Krvavec is “the first alp” from Ljubljana towards the Slovenian alpine region of Gorenjska - a mountain beloved to Slovenians for its wonderful walking and mountain / road biking (from the doorstep of the chalet), one of Slovenia’s best ski areas, which also offers a fantastic Summer adventure park / mountain bike park and excellent paragliding. All in a fantastically accessible location with Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Kamnik and Velika Planina gondola all cca 30 mins drive and Ljubljana just airport 15 minutes away. Renovated in 2023/4 Elipa Cottage offers high quality, calming, designed interiors with stunning views from panoramic windows in all directions, covered table tennis table, BBQ area and lovely garden with fruit trees and 3 terraces to enjoy the views. It can be rented together Chalet Vista which is just a few houses away and with Elipa House 10 minutes drive away for larger groups.

From the tranquil and pristine mountain setting you would never guess that it was only 15 minutes drive to Ljubljana airport making it a fantastically accessible Slovenia cottage for weekend getaways and ski trips. It is also very well positioned for exploring some of Slovenia’s most beautiful sights – historic Ljubljana, world famous Lake Bled, medieval Skofja Loka and Kamnik as well as the magical shepherd settlement on Velika Planina mountain are all within circa half an hours drive. Local attractions such as Strmol Castle and Preddvor Lake are less known but well worth visiting. Plenty of local facilities are located in the pretty town of Cerklje 10 minutes drive from the chalet on the valley floor including supermarket, bakery, butcher, petrol station, bank, pharmacy and various restaurants (further restaurants are up the mountain from the house - one 5 minutes away, others at Krvavec resort as well as fine dining at Michelin listed Jezersek, 15 minutes drive from the house).
