Langwathby Station spotless & unique 3 bed cottage with EV & free parking
Enjoy a stay in a beautiful historic Victorian train station dedicated to the age of steam railways beautifully refurbished to provide top notch accommodation. There are many memorabilia items of the steam age from model trains, an ancient ticket machine, a steam train cuckoo clock to huge close up photos of the a very famous steam train cab and exterior. A short drive to both the lakes and Pennines and just a few train stops away from the Yorkshire three peaks.

Guests are welcome to explore all areas of the building that they have rented and spot which of the features are from which era.
Newly renovated with modern features.
The lounge ceiling is 4.2m high by the way and bedroom block 3.5m with the end bedroom being 2.4m
We have for example retained the station platform clock with the controller in the railway bedroom.
There are some logs next to the fire and further logs in the boot room if the weather is inclement.
The old station is tastefully converted into two separate holiday accommodation units, the Scotsman a three bedroom with a king and two doubles and a one bed the Yorkshireman with a double and single bed.
Each of the units can be rented individually or both can be taken together providing three doubles a king and a single in total.
Every booking comes with free parking anywhere on the site but note we will require your vehicle make, model and registration number to set up on the ANPR system.
There is also a 22kw EV charging station at the station.
The three bedrrom has a boot room, large lounge/dining area separate large fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar leading to a corridor to the bedroom block containing a double room with ensuite shower overlooking the Eden valley, a double room overlooking the platform and a king room with dual aspect.
The one bedroom (the Yorkshireman) has a large bedroom with a double and single bed and ensuite shower room and a combined lounge/kitchen area overlooking the platform.
Each lounge has a large smart TV and the whole building is well covered with high speed internet.
There is a dedicated 18kw solar farm on the land next to the station feeding into a battery storage system in the plant room so you can be assured that your carbon footprint is very respectable during your stay!
Each of the units has a Firefox log burner installed and a good supply of logs are provided for your comfort.
If you bring young children please ensure they are monitored when outside at all times as the station platform access is just outside the building
There is also a shared access road to the adjacent factory and vehicles can pass the building quite fast.
All windows are double glazed inside as well as the original single glazed sash windows so noise from trains and traffic is hardly noticeable due to the triple glazed system
