Beautiful apartment in Valletta with a water leak in the main bedroom
The apartment is beautiful in a great location in downtown Valletta. However, the responsiveness of the property manager was poor. On the first night (Sunday) we noticed water leaking from the ceiling of the main bedroom. We called the number listed on the unit's booklet but nobody picked up, so we sent an email with a video showing that the pillows and bedding were wet due to the water leak. On Monday the property manager responded saying that they will linform the maintenance team. On Tuesday, while we were out, someone stopped by the unit and left new pillows. The leak continued on and off during the week (everytime that someone on the unit above us took a shower). And we continued sending emails with videos reporting the problem. On Thursday night the water started leaking through the motion sensor on the ceiling. We raised our concerns about electrical hazard and on Friday the property manager said that the issue would be raised to the owner; later someone stopped by the unit when we were out and turned off the power switches for the main bedroom. We stayed without power in the main bedroom until we left on Saturday morning. We slept the whole week with a plastic bucket behind our heads with the uncomfortable noise of water leaking and no clear plan from the property manager to solve the issue.
