Summary:
A private hideaway in the Cotswolds, made for slow mornings and hot tub nights. Squirrels Drey is one of three pods on site with plush interiors, a private hot tub, smart TV and high-end touches throughout. Outside, there’s a bookable sauna, fire pits, BBQs and a pizza oven to share. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Design-led and quietly indulgent - this is a peaceful escape where comfort takes centre stage.
The Space:
• Private design-led pod with comfy bed and sofa
• Hot tub under cover, so rain never ruins a soak
• Smart TV (Netflix, Prime, YouTube-ready)
• Dog-friendly, because they deserve a break too
• Well-equipped kitchen & hotel style bathroom
Guest Access:
🧖 Shared extras (just a stroll away)
• Bookable outdoor sauna – 1 hour daily use included
• Pizza oven and BBQ for proper outdoor eats
• Fire pits, swing ball, badminton, and space to just chill
• Laundry area for muddy boots and soggy socks
The Neighborhood:
Tucked in the countryside near Upper Minety, the site feels off-grid in the best way—peaceful, private, and properly quiet. You’re surrounded by open skies, fields and fresh air, but still within a short drive of Malmesbury’s indie shops and historic charm, or the lakes for paddleboarding, wild swims and lazy pub lunches. Remote, but not removed. Hidden, but not hard to reach.
Getting Around:
You’ll want a car here - this is countryside with a capital C. That said, once you’re parked, you might not feel like leaving. The lakes, local towns and walking routes are all easy to reach, and there’s plenty to explore if you fancy stretching your legs. Kemble station (for direct trains from London) is around 20 minutes away by car, and there’s good access to Cirencester, Malmesbury and beyond.

We are Barry and Jo and we have an amazing collection of Cotswold holiday lodges on Cotswold Water Park near the old Roman town of Cirencester with most of them dog friendly.
We’ve been coming to this beautiful area for many years and about 5 years ago we decided to make the move permanent. We set up our company in 2018, starting with our own holiday home on Windrush lake but as you can see from our portfolio now, we have grown quite considerably! We love to travel and just before the “you know what pandemic” we spent 12 months travelling around the world ending up in New Zealand for Christmas and New Year and then working our way up to Hawaii and North, Central and South America. We think we know what it takes to get a place right for our fantastic guests but we are always learning!
We couldn’t do this without our fantastic team which is growing year by year. Unlike many of the larger companies selling holiday lets we, and our team, know all of our properties intimately because we provide the full service from cleaning and hosting through to managing the hot tubs, the plants on the decking and even window cleaning! Jo, Adele and Meg are the last ones to visit your holiday lodge just before you get there to make sure the place is perfect for your stay – you may even bump into one of them on your way in!
