A Wonderful Home From Home Weekend in StocksleyAs soon as we arrived on Friday, the house instantly felt like a home from home. It was lovely, spotless, tidy, and really well set out. The location couldn’t have been better!! Central to everything we needed, easy to find, and with very handy parking right outside.Vicky was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The beds were unbelievably comfy, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. If we were staying longer, the only tiny suggestion would be a couple of extra kitchen essentials, like scissors, egg cups or some small ramekins for dips and chutneys, but that’s honestly us being very picky! We also loved exploring the local area and trying out some of the nearby places to eat. When we arrived on Friday, we grabbed fish & chips from Bassletons Fish Bar but don’t be fooled by the outside, because they were so good! On Saturday night, we weren’t very hungry, so we popped into Uno Momento Italian for just starters, and the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We even got chatting to a lovely lady called Jess, who manages both Il Mulino and The Mill. On Sunday we had the most amazing Sunday dinner at Il MulinoThe local butchers were also fantastic, with a great variety of options perfect if you want to stay in and cook.Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
